There’s a new MTC Viper Connect riflescope from UK-based MTC Optics. This 4-16 x 32 scope is notable for having a super-short eye relief of just 17mm.
This short eye relief provides a much broader field of view. The manufacturer claims it’s close to double that of a conventional scope. In fact, the field of view is claimed to be no less than 60.9 Feet at 100 Yards.
That provides many benefits for target acquisition, however, it does mean that the scope is suitable only for low-recoil PCP airguns. Don’t use this scope with a springer or gas ram airgun, otherwise, you’ll get a bad case of “scope bite”!
This new MTC Viper Connect riflescope uses a Second Focal Plane reticle. This is of the manufacturer’s AMD2 type and is provided with illumination that’s variable by 11 different intensities, to your choice.
As you can see below, the mil hashes are true at 10x magnification.
As you would expect, this 4-16 x 32 scope has parallax correction fro 10 meters (11 yards) to infinity.
In addition, this new MTC Viper Connect riflescope features an unique cant indicator. This assists with adjusting holdover or holdunder for tricky angled shots.
This 4-16 x 32 F2 Viper Connect scope has an overall length of 11.3 Inches. It weighs-in at 22.9 Oz.
The elevation and windage turrets both have a maximum adjustment capability of 35 Mil. There’s 48 clicks per turret rotation, with an adjustment capability of 1 click equaling 1 cm at 100 meters.
Tube diameter is 30 mm and the objective diameter is 32mm.
The new 4-16 x 32 F2 Viper Connect scope is now available directly from MTC Optics in the UK. The UK price is £282.50. Look for it to be available soon in the USA from Airguns of Arizona and Precision Airgun Distribution dealers.
