Welcome to the forum my airgun friend!New to PCP.
So new, I do not even own one or have ever shot one, that will change as so as I decided which one to buy.
I'm 63 and have been shooting firearms and Archery since 12. Shoot in the local cast match.
I reload for everything I shoot. Cast my own bullets, make my own lube.
I used to teach Archery.
Having fun with my Co2 and pumper pistols.
So PCP is the next logical step.
I know this comes late, but I've been to Lincoln and it seemed nice. I'm up in Redding.Lincoln
Just above Sacramento
It's still pretty good, but getting worse.I know this comes late, but I've been to Lincoln and it seemed nice. I'm up in Redding.
Sorry to learn that, but I remember it as nice looking country. We've got problems in Redding, but seems everyone does these days. Good luck my friend. It's still pretty good, but getting worse.
I haven't been to Redding in a couple years. But I like driving around up there.
Greetings from Yreka, Ca!!
If $600 is your budget, walther reign deserves a gander. Short, lightweight, all purpose bullpup that packs a punch. You can even get creative with silencer options if you can manage to get that plastic tip off!!
I have yet to hear of anyone unhappy with a Zelos. Obviously you made can good decision.Howdy,
I went with the Zelos in .22
It is Awesome
Great choice man. I've got a 25 Zelos and a 22 M60B Snowpeak. Just great shooters both!Howdy,

Very nice man!Cant argue with the zelos but when youre ready to join the big boys, you can find me in siskiyou. This is my .25 pew pew...

Ha ha. I thought much the same when i first stepped up to the bench with diana 350 ntec (not a pcp), which btw is an outstanding break barrel.Very nice.
What rifle is that?
Pretty sure I'm to poor to ever join the big boys.
I have to use my excellent scope with my glasses to see anything either. Sucks getting old!Ha ha. I thought much the same when i first stepped up to the bench with diana 350 ntec (not a pcp), which btw is an outstanding break barrel.
The pic of my .25 is a kalibrgun cricket 2 tactical with the laminate brown courtesy of AoA with a couple other accessories, most notably the brown fishing rod heat shrink on the barrel and LDC.
Still havent quite settled on an appropriate optic. A desk job staring at a comp has killef my eyes so i need at least 24x mag to hit a silver dollar at 100yds. :/
Thanks, i had to get myself one nice pcp. At the moment i live in the east bay and the other air enthusiasts at the Diablo Rod & Gun club dont mess around. High dollar setups down the line.Very nice man!
It's what we do brother! Enjoy. Thanks, i had to get myself one nice pcp. At the moment i live in the east bay and the other air enthusiasts at the Diablo Rod & Gun club dont mess around. High dollar setups down the line.
Never wanted anything tempermental so i stayed clear of FX...and marriage. Ha ha So when i was looking to acquire i had a hard time deciding between the brocock sniper xr magnum in laminate or the cricket tactical. Im happy with my choice but man, the air reservoir can deplete an scba tank like nobodys business. Cost of doing business though i suppose.
Haven't been over to Diablo for the Wednesday morning shoot in ages. Thanks, i had to get myself one nice pcp. At the moment i live in the east bay and the other air enthusiasts at the Diablo Rod & Gun club dont mess around. High dollar setups down the line.

There is no shame in the sub $500 reclaim game. My go to general purpose setup is a walther reign with a threaded tip. It was hell trying to get that plastic fuzzle break off, let me tell you.Haven't been over to Diablo for the Wednesday morning shoot in ages.
Last time I was there had my highly modified Condor .25 and was doing 2 inch groups at 100 yards. When I show up the average price on the line drops a lot. Lots of FX Impacts and Daystate wolfs. Then me and my sub $500 reclamation projects.
I'll have to get over there again, have a few "new to me" rifles I'd like to extend to 100 yards.
I enjoy bringing my low end and reclamation guns and making groups just like the 2k and 3k guns. There is no shame in the sub $500 reclaim game. My go to general purpose setup is a walther reign with a threaded tip. It was hell trying to get that plastic fuzzle break off, let me tell you.
On a similar (wallet freindly plinkers) note, the beeman underlever pcp, i think model 1358, is a lil quirky but actually enjoyable too shoot. Just a lil heavy relative to its performance.
