Hard Air Magazine readers first heard of the new Benjamin M600 Airbow in our report from the SHOT Show in January 2024.

Now it’s officially in production, is launched and is shipping. In fact, it’s available at Pyramyd right now!

The M600 Airbow is available with or without a bundled CenterPoint 6×40 AO scope and Benjamin sling. Either way, it comes complete with three arrows, a quiver and a 20 MOA canted Picatinny mount optics rail.

These photographs show the complete kit. It’s Model Number BPABMX.

More Power

Although the new Benjamin M600 Airbow looks similar to the long-running original Benjamin Pioneer Airbow, there’s a number of significant differences.

For the hunter, the main improvement is that Muzzle Energy has increased by a massive 78%. It’s now specified at 300+ Ft/Lbs, compared to the 168 Ft/Lbs of the original model, and definitely capable of taking large game, where permitted.

Benjamin engineers have made this huge power increase through a number of changes. First, HPA fill pressure has been increased from 3,000 PSI to 3,625 PSI.

Second, the M600 is not regulated. Instead of the eight regulated shots per fill at 450+ FPS from the original Airbow, the M600 now makes three shots at an average of 600 FPS. That more closely corresponds to the needs of most hunters.

Thirdly, there’s a new type of arrow. Benjamin M Series Airbow Arrows have additional strength and durability through the use of cross-weave carbon fiber. These 26-Inch, 360 Gr arrows are not compatible with previous Airbow arrows, however as they do not have a knock.

Improved Usability

Usability improvements include moving the pressure gauge from the end of the HPA tube to a much preferable location on the side of the action below the cocking handle.

Another improvement is the replacement of the probe fill charging system with a standard male quick disconnect. Filling is now made in the same way and in the same location as the well-know Benjamin Bulldog air rifle.

The built-in sling swivel studs combine with the Benjamin padded sling of the “Kit version” to make carrying in the field convenient and comfortable.

One other change is that the synthetic stock now has an attractive olive drab appearance. (I believe that the color is officially meant to be black. But it definitely looks like olive green to me and I like it).

Overall length of the Benjamin M600 Airbow is 33.4 Inches. Weight is 7 Lbs 2 Oz for the base Airbow. That increases to 9 Lb 6 Oz “all up” including scope, sling and quiver.

Additional Benjamin M Series Airbow Arrows are available in tubes of six and they have field points as standard. The Benjamin Model Number for these is BAMA-6PK.

Pricing

Street Price for this new Airbow alone is $899.99. The Kit retails for $1,099.99. A six-pack of M Series arrows is $119.99.

If I am not mistaken, those just took the number one spot for speed. My Wingshot ll and the Dragon Claw do 500FPS and 230FPE.
That i am aware it is the fastest dedicated Arrow Launcher. We have seen speeds over 630fps and if you have a heavier broadhead it will achieve more FPE. Hatsan Harpoon is the next closest. I saw mix information but the reviews i saw it was around 550fps with their 415gr arrows

You are correct about the dragon claw in stock form. The cap dragon however can get up to 683fps on a 3000psi fill with an air bolt. However shooting an arrow out of a pcp that looks like a O/U shotgun with 3 barrels is not my style. 😅Anything past 500fps is crazy fast in my books for an arrow! I would agree that less shots per fill but more power per shot makes good sense on a hunting gun, nice write up on a mighty cool platform! No 50/75Y accuracy tests!? 😔

Sounds to me like a ham arrow launcher round up review . Line em up and let em go head to head and toe to toe .. then put one on the podium.. 😉
I also wonder about accuracy. My Wingshot ll can stack them from 0-40 yards so I only shoot 1 at each bull so I don't break them. I am a bit disappointed in the price of all of the different Airbow bolts/arrows, they all seem very expensive to me.

There was a guy at agn that got one just don't remember the brand or model but he made a few threads on his bench / field results with it and the bolts he found to use in it ..

What I do recall about it was I was surprised how well it did and honestly better then I would of thought .. he was getting out there in good yards pretty on spot and looked to sink the bolts in nicly deep for the yardage ..

The ones I dug up were the air saber

Airsaber 50 yards 6 New Arrows

Or

These things got the potential .

Now another thing I'm recalling is the use of aftermarket or other branded bolts or arrows . You got to be careful there on them shattering or splitting / damaging from being fired in these guns/ arrow lunchers .

Anyway I don't see in in a tree stand and 20+/- yards where these things can't do the job .. so......

With the M600 we recently change the system removing the knock. We updated the Arrows to have the cross weave pattern for added strength and durability. The arrows are essentially custom high end arrows which comes at a cost. in theory you could get your own custom arrows to work as long as they had a .314 ID and cut to the same length but i'm not aware of any off the shelf items that will work with the exception of the arrows we provide.

Based on what Rick posted the M600 should still be over 600fps at 20 yds. he had it at 597fps at 25yds.

I guess but that proprietary stuff ? If I can't just get replacement bolts/ arrow shafts kinda cheaply and convenient. That's a hard sell ..

It seems companies get lost at the I do this to my convenience not the products ..
Linda like my " I don't mind a pellet picky gun as long as it picks cphp " thing ..

A guy looses a few arrows or bolts in the field woods and got to pay some proprietary priced $$ replacement . May loose interest fast . But hay .. you done got there money and that got your product.. 🤤

Another thought...

A good range adjustable power for low fishing then birds/ small game flu flu type arrows to max blaster for big longer range game .

I guess there's no reel attachment on this ?
