My first PCP gun experience has been very pleasant. I did have an issue with the first gun, but Barra (Crystal) took care of it very quickly.
I am pleased to say my new gun is working perfectly, and shooting very accurately. I want to thank Crystal for the awesome customer service she has provided to me.

To elaborate, the first gun had many issues. I could not get it to feed correctly from the SS tray. It would tilt the pellets, and mangle them. I 3d printed a new tray taller and with better alignment. It kinda of worked. I also had a few issues with the magazines feeding, better than SS tray, but still not right. Also there was oil leaking out of the regulator after about 25 shots. I would have to take stock off and wipe it down. (Never figured out where it was coming from. And as far as accuracy, it was terrible. I could not get a decent group using some old Crosman Dome Brown box .22 14.3 grain pellets. Even after inspecting each one and weighing them to make sure all were within .05 grain of each other. I was still shooting 1"+ at 12.5 yards indoors. I tried several pellets, different pressures starting from 1000psi up to 1900. Nothing seemed to be working. I had a lot of offers from members to clean up the barrel and take a look at it. I was hesitant to do anything to the gun. I figured if I had to return it It needed to be stock. After about 2 tins of pellets and trying everything imaginable. I decided to contact Barra for a replacement. They sent me a return label and I had it at UPS the next day (Friday). They received the gun On Monday and my new gun was at my door that Friday. I could tell when I first cocked it, it was so much smoother. It also had air in it, which the first one did not. I got the new gun on the 28 of November, and finally got a chance to take it to the range Last Friday. All I can say is WOW, it works awesome. I took it out today again at 25 yards with a 5-7 mph crosswind. And still managed to put 10 Crosman Dome and 10 Crosman HP pellets in a .33 in CTC hole. I have not shot in almost 20 years. So it may not be much for most, but it is a milestone for me. I am very impressed with the quality of the gun. For the price point it works awesome.

By the way, I have not modified anything but the trigger. When the gun arrived, I cleaned the barrel thoroughly, mounted a scope and set the regulator for 1500 psi. I am shooting the Crosman Dome and the Crosman HP at 930 FPS. Seems to work very well. I will at some point try the JSB and JTS 18+ Grain pellets. I am able to get over 100 shots before falling off the regulator. I have not touched the hammer spring it is in the factory position.

I also want to thank the group for all the great advice and willingness to help.

Todd

Polish your barrel & crown they need it bad from the factory. Take rifle apart clean your regulator up check your orings as they are most likely nicked from the factory do to sharp edges. From my experience JTS 22.07gn pellets are lazerbeams in the 250z

Here is a full break down video of the rifle. Hope this helps

Because of your slug, and trigger kits, and this video right here, with hours and hours of methodical tinkering, about 6 dudes have ordered one in .25.

The first thing I send them, is a link to this video, and tell them flat out, don't even air it up until they take it apart. Clean and polish all their goodies, and put in minimum, the trigger kit.

Okay, seals id say for sure to look at. Both seals that thread into the action, the seals that ride the barrel.

Cosmic is right on the gauges, especially if its been degassed multiple times.

When we degas pcp's the seals, any of them, can shift because theres no longer pressure pushing them into place.

Bladefin is asking, because depending on the pre-load of your hammer spring(i just learned yesterday that's what it means to have the hammer spring turned in farther), It could be keeping the poppet inside your valve from sealing, letting air come out of your pellet/slug hole.

That stood true for the JTS Aircuda also and there is a recent update on the Max in the forums also.
But I too found these pellets to be exceptional.

Makes me really happy to see new guys getting into this hobby, shooting the 250z and keeping these conversations alive. Some of you guys have figured out in a few weeks what took me months to figure out last year.

Can’t wait to see what else y’all come up with… 100 shots a fill is wild!

The trigger springs kit changes this rifle from junk to an absolute pleasure to shoot. Turns it into a target and critter shooting machine. Best few dollars I ever spent upgrading a rifle. It's a must do first upgrade I believe.

Couldn't agree more. A guy can hold off on the slug kit, until they get into tinkering with them, but you'll have a hard time getting that far if you don't love shooting it.
