The MTC King Cobra 6-24x50 F1 is an impressive scope designed for those who demand high performance in both target shooting and long-range hunting applications. Key Features:

1. Magnification Range (6-24x): The 6-24x zoom offers a versatile range that performs well across various distances. 6x, you have a wide field of view for closer or moving targets, while 24x magnification brings long-range targets into crisp focus which is great for target and benches shooting.. This versatility is especially beneficial for those who need a single scope for different shooting scenarios.

2. 50mm Objective Lens: The large 50mm objective lens gathers light, providing bright and clear images even in low-light conditions like dawn or dusk. This is particularly beneficial for hunters who rely on those early or late hours to catch movement.

3. First Focal Plane (FFP) Reticle: The FFP reticle is a game-changer for long-range shooters, as it scales with magnification. This feature allows accurate holdover and windage adjustments across all magnifications without recalculating. It's valuable for anyone serious about precise shot placement at varying distances.

4. SCB2 Reticle: The SCB2 reticle design provides intuitive aiming points for both windage and elevation, with clear markers that are easy to interpret and use under pressure. This is ideal for long-range shooters and hunters who want to make quick, confident adjustments.

5. Side Parallax Adjustment (10 yards to infinity): The side parallax adjustment, which starts as close as 10 yards, adds versatility to this scope. It's excellent for airguns or shorter distances where precise focus is crucial and for long-range shooting where parallax needs to be fine-tuned.

6. Illuminated Reticle with Adjustable Brightness: The illuminated reticle is adjustable across multiple brightness levels, enhancing low-light visibility without overwhelming the sight picture. This feature is especially beneficial for hunting or low-light target shooting, as it allows the reticle to stand out against darker backgrounds.

7. 1/10 MRAD Click Adjustments: The MRAD turrets offer 1/10 MRAD clicks, allowing precise, repeatable adjustments. Each click is audible and tactile, providing a solid feel that's easy to track without taking your eyes off the target. This fine adjustment is essential for accuracy at extended distances.

8. Locking Turrets: The design prevents accidental movement of the windage and elevation settings, which is particularly helpful for hunters moving through brush or rough terrain. It ensures that your zero stays in place, providing peace of mind when it matters most.

9. Glass-Etched Reticle: The glass-etched reticle is highly durable and can withstand recoil and environmental factors. This enhances the scope's overall longevity and maintains clarity and precision, even after heavy use.

10. Fully Multi-Coated Lenses: The King Cobra's multi-coated lenses enhance clarity and brightness by reducing glare and improving light transmission. This feature is crucial in challenging light conditions, helping to produce sharp images and reducing eye strain during extended use.

Build Quality:

The MTC King Cobra 6-24x50 F1 impresses with its robust construction. The 30mm tube provides extra strength, and the materials used are high quality, giving the scope a solid, durable feel. The scope's weight, around 815 grams, balances durability with a manageable profile that feels substantial without being cumbersome. The turrets are exceptionally well-made, with precise, audible clicks and a smooth locking mechanism that inspires confidence in the adjustments. Overall, the build quality is top-notch, with no loose or wobbly parts, ensuring it can handle harsh conditions without sacrificing performance.

Specifications:

Tube Diameter: 30mm, enhancing durability and light transmission.

Magnification: 6-24x, ideal for versatile shooting applications.

Objective Lens: 50mm, ensuring excellent light gathering.

Eye Relief: Approximately 90mm, comfortable for extended use and suitable for high-recoil firearms.

Field of View (FOV): 6.2m – 1.5m at 100m, depending on magnification.

Parallax Adjustment: 10 yards to infinity, making it suitable for close and long-range shooting.

Length: Approximately 400mm, providing a balanced feel on various rifle setups.

Weight: Around 815g, balancing durability and portability.

Reticle Type: SCB2 (first focal plane), optimised for accurate holdovers.

Click Adjustment: 1/10 MRAD, offering precise control for windage and elevation adjustments.

Illumination: Adjustable reticle illumination for enhanced low-light performance.

Overall Impressions

The MTC King Cobra 6-24x50 F1 is a standout scope that combines high-quality optics with practical features tailored for long-range and precision shooting. Its first focal plane reticle, coupled with the SCB2 reticle design, allows for accurate aiming across various ranges, while the illuminated reticle ensures visibility in different lighting conditions. Webb-Bowen dates back to the a Family of Camrose, Pembrokeshire, Wales. From the long history I’m aware of Webb-Bowen is an Offshoot of the Bowens of Lockmyler. Bowens came to reside in Camrose through marriage into the Roblyn family, records back to 1251.
