Marauder Hammer Travel- why add more confusion ?

I really like the marauder rifles and pistols but the hammer travel adjuster confuses me. Why can’t they just have a hammer spring only adjuster like everybody else ? Keep it simple

Well, I've never used mine and you don't have to either. I bought a peek striker from Hill and screwed it all the way in. Then I really took it a step futher by backing out the adjustment screws all the way and use a twin spring system that I cut to get get the performance that I wanted. Nothing moves out of adjustment, it shoots 34gr JSB at 875fps and always has. It's about as simple as it gets.

I sold my marauder because of that one feature only kept the pistol in stock form I prefer the simplicity of the Avenge x

I also used a JSAR aluminum tube and a synthetic hammer, put in a Huma and bedded the entire gun. It's never lost zero, weight and balance is perfect. I love the hell out of mine, great woodchuck gun.

You have to add a bunch of aftermarket things to get it to that point right ? From factory they are not great

Exactly! I've been saying that very thing for quite a while, but what you end up with is very good. So there is that.

Yeah for sure. They’re trying to keep it affordable. Honestly for just hunting or plinking it’s good enough but man the Avenge x offers soooo much more in stock form. I shoot my guns as is so that’s why the marauder didn’t work out

The way I understood the hammer throw (travel) adjustment is that when you change the hammer throw (travel) it makes more subtle changes to the hammers energy and how hard it hits the valve stem. I think you can somewhat liken the hammer throw adjustment to the micro wheel adjustment on an FX rifle. I could be entirely wrong though. I don’t claim to be an expert. Maybe someone else has a much better explanation or analogy how it works.

Hammer throw can be adjusted on the Daystate Huntsman (& Wolverine, I think). As @MileHighAirGunner mentioned, it's a subtle adjustment for fine tuning.
Did it once on a Huntsman Regal. If memory serves, it was shooting just over 17 fpe, & I was able to bump it up to ~18.5.
