If you'd like some "quick start" guides for using the HAM Community, we have started publishing a series in Hard Air Magazine. You can see them by following these links:
1. Basic Navigation and Creating Avatars
2. Colors and Using Threads

More of these guides will be published with time.

You can also find "how to" explanations for a wide variety of specific topics in the Community FAQ and Guides section here.

Have fun. I hope you will enjoy being a part of the Hard Air Magazine Community!

First PCP is a HW100KT and just ordered a Barra 250Z. I came from a background of consumer springers, but couldn't shoot them properly and frustrated by lack of accuracy as a result. Having a reloading background with rifles, I am now entering the world of PCP rifles, which should be a challenging experience to be sure.

Did you order the 22 or 25 caliber?

I ordered the Barra in .25, the hw 100 is .22 cal. I'm just getting used to trajectory of the .22 and even though I'm familiar with double zero, it still kinda blows my mind with how it shoots in that regard. I'm learning about app's for this purpose, but haven' t purchased one yet. Ideas? Sorry about the late reply.

I got my Barra in 22 caliber out today and degassed the rifle as it was shooting 1026 fps. That was with the regulator set at 2100 psi and shooting the AEA Center punch 18.3 pellets. It still shot great but i wanted more shots per fill. So i adjusted the regulator at 1800 psi and its now shooting at 943 fps and i haven't touched the hammer spring as it shoots so well. This is one of the most accurate pcp rifles I've ever shot and i couldn't be happier as im getting dime size groups at 25 yards. I now get five extra shots as well for a total of 45. I'll do more testing tomorrow weather permitting. Good luck on the apps as im not much help there. Happy shooting!

Mine will arrive today through UPS. I've got a 4x12 scope for it, but I may back down to 3-9 as I seldom use much past 6x. What did you put on yours?
I've went overkill on mine for long range shooting. It's a glass etched first focal plane 5 x 25 x 50 with 34mm tube and Discovery optics scope rings. It says OhShoot on the side from Amazon so i don't know the real brand. It was $180 bucks and also has a red illuminated reticle. It's one of the nicest optics I've got on any of my rifles and i truly love it. Especially doing some bench target shooting. I leave it on 10 if i hunt or pest with it. Great scope!
