.22 H&N Crow Magnum 18.21gr @ 30M

Using my Seneca Dragonfly with the max 15 pumps; the crows got to fly! I had been told time and time again how these particular pellets don't seem to do very well.
I was not impressed to say the least😅
Had one pellet drop and hit 2 yards in front of the target, amd one went completely over.😱🤔
The next pellets hit paper amd these were the resulting grouping after sighter on card.

Now I'm not very picky...but I wouldn't pick these again.🤷‍♂️
When they go where you want them to, they do great and hit hard! When they don't, you don't know where they will go: big problem in my book🥹
Still, I will continue to test these until they either run out, or I run out of slingers to test them in. 😅🤙

The Crow Magnums are definitely not match grade pellets and I recommend them for hunting/pesting up to 30 yards max. But that sounds more like defective pellets. Perhaps the skirts had been deformed in transit?

There were quite a few that I could visibly see were bent a bit. Might have to slide them over to my short range hunting pellets😅
I will continue to test them until I find their "sweet" spot🤓🤙

I also ju st got these for my Avenger Bull Pup .22 so I will give them a try.

I used to use the crow magnums in a Benjamin 392 pumper and it did pretty well with them for squirrels at 30-35 yards. Wow… that brought up memories all of a sudden hahaha… I also harvested some giant bullfrogs out of our farm pond back in the old days with that pellet/rifle and had a nice big platter of frog legs to fry up the next day.
But the crow magnum certainly isn’t a long distance pellet if you are shooting at anything smaller than a refrigerator.
Seems like I might have tried them in a marauder but I don’t recall anything really liking that pellet. Same with the H&N grizzlies…. Never found anything that liked them. I remember they did so poorly in my marauder that it was absolutely dangerous. Some would be on paper and others went to God only knows where… after a couple went downrange(ish) and I couldn’t even tell what zip-code they went to, I retired the notion of using them with the marauder. Scary situation not being able to account for them. I’ve still got a few cans of them sitting around somewhere too. One day I’ll find a use for them….

Nothing more frustrating than a pellet that performs all over the place. It can drive you crazy for sure!

i have not tried any of the H&N pellet but i have ordered some JSB and plan to try some JTS shooting out to and possibley past 50 yards so how would these stack up?
lookng for 18 gr pellets to run in the wife BRK

Thank you for the warning I will avoid these😅. I have H&N silver point and hunter extremes in .22 The extremes are amazing the silver points are dangerous to everyone except the target. Got a tin of the extremes in .177 for my bro too, they are excellent for him as well.
