Spring/Piston Death of the springer

I love vintage springers. I have collected an example of every Winchester-labeled Diana made and am gradually resealing and restoring them. I have a few other Dianas too, Model 36, 24D, and 24J. Wrote a guest-blog on Tom Gaylord's blog on the last one.

I also have an Air Arms TX200 Mark III, which is superb in every way except my fat fingers have a hard time loading it.

Also Beeman R9 and R7.

Love them all....

Sounds like a Fantastic collection. I am a huge fan of Bsa & English made Webley springers. I do like the Tx200 I have had a few of them. I just got my first Hw80 rifle the other day. Its in 20 caliber and dang accurate with H& N FIeldtarget trophy pellets.

Springers are indeed my airgun pf choice. We fired them all through the brush and hillsides of where we lived in Southern California when we were kids.. We all practiced gun safety from day one. . . nobody got shot. I shot pellet guns with my kids during their golden years of growing up. I don’t know how I could ever go over to the dark side of pcp guns. Those black chassis rifles remind me of what was being shot at us in the bad old days of Vietnam. No sir, they are not for me.
