No i have not. Im not a bore scope type of guy. I have bartels that look wonky in a scope but shot the highest scores I've ever shot with them. 200 for this barrel is a steal.Did you happen to stick a bore scope inside to have a look at the machining & rifling?
Barra has a few more for sale right now. I'm tempted but mine shoots pellets so well already. Perhaps I should go for it in hopes of getting the rifle to shoot slugs???
Thanks for the reply. No i have not. Im not a bore scope type of guy. I have bartels that look wonky in a scope but shot the highest scores I've ever shot with them. 200 for this barrel is a steal.
I asked them what the twist rates were no answerI just heard back from Barra about who did the machining on the LW barrel blanks. I was told that Lothar Walter made the complete 250z barrel. All machining done by LW!
That's great news! I'm impressed with the way Barra has worked to make the 250z the best it can be for us users!
Im using the z in 25 to pull up to 100 yard shots. Rocking the 32 grain francos, 15mph winds or less on average. I can smack em with the worked out origional, about 50% rate of poi. Thanks mainly to your trigger kit eating that first stage and making break absolutely hair trigger. Awesome dude.I asked them what the twist rates were no answer
I am glad the trigger kit is working out for you. Thank you for your Trust & support i appreciate itIm using the z in 25 to pull up to 100 yard shots. I inspect and weigh my slugs I have a long range and 50 and under mag. Would you say this barrel would help with flyers, post break in, and familiarization?
You will have to find a set regulator pressure then work your hammer spring in till you find a speed that gives you the accuracy your after. It takes alot of time ammo and air tuning a rifle that's for sure.Ok, I purchased the Barra 250Z and had a bad experience with the .22 cal barrels. Barra replaced them with a 700mm, LW 1-16" Polygonal Barrel. I then purchased a trigger kit and the Slug Hammer spring kit. Also purchased a C-88 Plenum. Now What I need to see, is a TRUE Video on how to tune them to shoot 33 gr slugs. I see lots of one hole groups, but no live procedures to achieve their results. This thing does not tune like my other Avenge X
This. Thiiiiiissssssss. My wife's z, I've put over 3-4k slugs ran through it, tweaking, testing, polishing things, re tuning, and its a mean, lean, clean gnat neutering pcp at 65-70 yards with her shooting. Ill push it 100-120 yards, nooooo problem on the right conditions. You will have to find a set regulator pressure then work your hammer spring in till you find a speed that gives you the accuracy your after.
