250Z Are Gen1 250Z rifles now gone?

Thanks for that info, appreciate it.

Barra had 13-units (Tan, .22) for sale 2-days ago and as of right now there are 4-units still available. I've been tempted to buy one but just not sure yet. Plus, it's hard for me to pass on a $60 savings buying from Midway.

If I'm being honest, I don't like the shape of the stock and so I'm throwing around what I could do about that if I buy the rifle. Wish Barra had a traditional stock option in addition to the tactical stock they have now.
Knowing what I do now, I would wait until the next shipment comes in and you see more than this .22 variant available. If not all 4 main variants. Then you'd be at least sure they are the newest lot. Still now guarantee there'll be no issues.

The stock doesn't bother me and I really like the gun I just want it to shoot slugs accurately. Barra does really seem like they are trying to do the right thing and I am hopeful the new barrels I get will be better.

Good advice, thanks.

I just received a response from my prior email to Barra from a few days ago. Very prompt reply considering my email was sent near the New Year Holiday.

With out quoting directly..., I was told that all future shipments to retailers from this point forward will be the newest, Gen2 model of the 250Z. Was also told that the retailer I ask about in particular will for sure be getting Gen2 when they are next shown to be in stock on that vendor's site.

That's pretty excellent communication and goes a long ways toward my decision to buy a rifle from Barra.

I don't blame Barra for this issue. It's typical Chinese factory bait and switch. That's why the very early guns were good.

If Barra is at fault for anything, it's not doing random inspections and catching this earlier. The fact that they are responding to everyone, well, maybe not the fastest earlier in the year like with @Billm, and also posting a thread on the issue here in encouraging.

There is also a snowpeak/Artemis that are similar. If you want a more traditional style stock from the manufacturer, but i know nothing about if they are slug barrels.

That's killer. I just ordered a backup 25 barrel, to polish up and get ready, a bunch of guys just ordered a 25 from em, and id rather be ahead of the curve for the 'is polishing a barrel hard?' Question i know will be coming. 🤣
