Air Venturi PCP fittings can be a life-saver for anyone involved with airguns. If you have a PCP, you never know when you’ll need them. But one day – sure as fate – you definitely will!
Today we’re looking at a range of PCP fittings that are available at Pyramyd AIR. Some are new, some unusual, but all will be useful at some time and it’s good to know that they are there.
Air Venturi PCP Fittings – Female Connectors
One of the unusual, recent arrivals is the “double female”. This is the product shown in our heading photograph above.
It’s a combination of two female fittings, mounted back-to-back. The correct product name is Air Venturi Female-to-Female Quick Disconnect Fitting. Maximum working pressure is 4,500 PSI. Pyramyd’s product code is PY-A-27443.
Below is a more conventional female quick disconnect. This screws-on to the 1/8-Inch BSPP female threads that can be found on the HPA whips on some compressors and High Pressure Air Tanks.
The purpose of the long collar is so that it can be used with air rifles having male quick disconnects that are deeply-set in the stock – such as the FX Impact, for example. This one includes a flow restrictor screw to help with achieving a slow, steady fill of HPA.
The maximum working pressure is 5,000 PSI. The code is PY-A-27444.
The next female PCP fitting in our story is the conventional, short-length female “Foster” connector from Air Venturi. This has the regular 15mm-deep retractable collar for most connection uses.
But, unusually, this is also supplied with a flow restrictor screw. This will help you fill your PCP airguns slowly and reduce the amount of heat built up in the cylinder. Pyramyd rates this connector for up to 5,000 PSI. The code for this one is PY-A-4926.
Air Venturi PCP Fittings – Male Connectors
Moving now to male quick disconnects, we have the standard Air Venturi male connector. This includes a Delrin internal seal to prevent air leaks.
At the other end are 1/8-Inch BSPP female threads. Again, it’s rated by Pyramyd for use at up to 5,000 PSI pressure. It’s PY-A-3550.
Finally there’s another unusual connector. It’s a “double male”, rated at 4,500 PSI fill pressure. This has the code PY-A-8492.
