So drcided to tidy up some so i had 2 open tins of ftt .177 (.50 &.52). Grabed a bottom and tried to put the lid on . Well it eould not go on . Fought ot some looked at things like did it get bent or somthing ,and noticed nothing with the lid or bottom of that one . So i grabbed the other bottom and the lid went on smooth as can be .. so i took the other lid and the other bottom and wrnt right on as well.

So looking again on what the heck it seems H&n uses 2 different tins for the pellets. Lol

Then i ask myself why? Then think would it be cheaper to use one standard tin instead of different ones ? Then if a savings pass that along to me ?

Ill assume the .50 or .52 or whatever pellets would fit in one standard tin.

Crazy..

I would consider that H&N has multiple suppliers of tins. Or maybe one supplier was out of stock so they went with another. Or maybe one company raised their price for the tins so they found another supplier.

Regardless, think that maybe they are already passing the savings onto you.

Lot of maybe.. like maybe a specification of the tin no matter who the vendor is.

But true they could be crazy priced as jsb too.. seems crosman can use the same tins for count . .22 or .177 for many years .. i need a 500 count tin i just slap on what ever in that tin ..lol.

Just glad i did not throw away the one h&n tin or i eould of had yo pit them in a crosman tin ( that lids fit..).

Oh well like anything its all subject to change without notice....lol

LOL - yeah, lot's of maybes.

With many projectile options coming in cardboard boxes I just toss the manufacturer packaging and use these for everything with a P-Touch label on the top. As a small bonus, I like that I can see through the top and know how many are left.

How many? Give some links to a few outside them crosmans .

I guess im missing seeing them other box pellets 👍

I have a surplus of the wife's prescription bottles that I have re-purposed for pellets (i.e. H&N).
I put the pertinent info on a chartreuse green dot, sometimes both sides if it has a snap lid/screw-on lit.
Plus they come in handy if the bottle gets knocked over as I only dig out 10 to 20 pellets at a time.
If this idea might help you.

Not like im in need of a tin any time soon

The answer to this mystery is simple: during the Corona inflicted shortages, our standard tin supplier was unable to deliver. So we had to buy from another manufacturer (whose tins are unfortunately also more expensive). Thank God the situation has normalized and we can get the cheap ones again. Otherwise we would have to raise prices... ;) Best regads Jörg
