We (H&N) alone manufacture over a billion pellets and slugs annually. I would estimate total global production of pellets (excluding BBs) at around 15 to 20 billion.
It is worth bearing in mind that in many countries outside the US, the air rifle is the type of gun that can be easily purchased without a permit.

Thank You for that information! I can’t hardly imagine how many if bb’s were included world wide. And I do like H&N pellets!
