    Long Strike takes another Yote

Not meant to knock what I find effective but decided to anyway? The .45 Rattler blows the .308 out of the water as far as power and effective range on large game. Not sure about a fiddle PCP but it certainly isn't a broomstick. I'm outta here, you folks can have it.

Pinty's NEW Pistol and .25 Bullpup

Got one in .177 and while temped to throw on a dot sight I concluded the open sights are perfect as is. Just needed to adjust the windage and elevation a little to hit the mark at 20 yards. I see some small game hunting going on very soon with this setup. Put the 0dB moderator on and it's pretty...

    Long Strike takes another Yote

We spent a total of eight days on a large ranch that has a huge problem with coyotes and hogs. This was the 3rd coyote with the Long Strike. Spotted this one during dusk, taken at 40 yards through the shoulder with 260gr NSA.

Others Alpha 1 slip on moderator

For those looking to quiet down the Alpha, Bravo3d has a pretty good and affordable option. I will be testing it out, just wanted to share and option that I think looks good and is priced under $50

    A couple Questions

To me they are just the most awkward feeling guns, like holding a broomstick. In this Golden Age of airguns AF is seriously lacking but it's hard to knock simplicity. A friend of mine recently sent back his .257 Texan for a refund, the quality of it was to say the least very disappointing. The...

.45 Cal Airgun vs Ranch Alpha Coyote — Real Results at 75 Yards

We spent a total of 8 days living out of the RV on a large working ranch that has been dealing with a sustained coyote problem. Losses included baby lambs, a calf, and poultry, and the rancher needed real relief—not experimentation or short-term pressure. We ran the Western Airguns Rattler LS...

    Others LOP, not an issue

To me it plays more of a difference on a bench rather than in the field. Depending on the LOP makes a big difference on how I mount my scope.

Survival hunt with the AV Alpha

Marley and I recently headed out for an overnight, survival-style hunt with the new Air Venturi Alpha, putting it through a real-world field test rather than a controlled range session. This trip was part of my ongoing Left for Dead series, where I take various airguns into the field and use...

AAFTA GP Champion Barbara Pellegrino Talks To HAM

The entire Pellegrino family are good people. Everytime I see Barbara she's happy and having a good time, a great representative for airgunning and one heck of a good shooter.

Alias airguns GEM - not so much of a gem.

I haven't tried the short barrel with bbs, I have the longer arrow version kit that doesn't break open. I would reach out to AOA and see if they have any suggestions? That sucks

Ranch Rabbits Chewing Through Vehicle Wiring… Anyone Else Deal With This? My Latest Night Patrol with the .30 Mordax

Alright folks… I’ve seen rabbits eat grass, I’ve seen them eat flowers, I’ve even seen them eat stuff I swear wasn’t edible — but I’ve never seen them commit FELONY-LEVEL vandalism on vehicles. I roll up to this ranch, and the owner tells me, “Yeah, rabbits are chewing the wiring under the...

The glued on moderator is about my only complaint with it. Been working on a video using it, guessing it could be removed with heat. Hard to complain for $269 gun that checks most of the boxes.

Others Pressure testing low pressure fittings

My only concern is someone reading this thinking its ok because it worked for the OP. Always use the proper fittings for HPA, it's worth the extra money.

Best pellet or Slug for birds?

Takes very little energy to kill a bird with a headshot, find the most accurate pellet and go with that. I think sometimes people naturally go for body shots, at least that's how I was until I started consciously making myself aim for the head. It's kind of a weird thing, almost like buck fever.

Others Pressure testing low pressure fittings

This is a horrible idea and not something to mess around with. The big difference is the wall thickness and material, quality hpa fittings aren't brass. Brass is soft and the slightest hit onto a hard surface will crack and bust off. A reason high pressure fittings are more expensive, anything...
