Me either, but it does look like it is ready to play. Did you notice the caliber? .30, It will appeal to many. Not my 'cup of tea' with regard to style, but it's always good to have choices.![]()
Well, I probably want one.Just saw that SGR posted a short from SHOT on the new 350z.
While it doesn't have the same character, it looks to be way more capable. Cross your fingers for better barrels.
Best to buy the 1st batch release, before the Chinese start cutting corners.Well, I probably want one.
That's a .30 in the video. That's a first for them, so there is no telling how that's going to do until someone takes a bullet for the team and buys one. And that won't be me, I have a pretty good .30 as it is.Eh? They've had a year to get the 250 barrels right. Looks like they're using the same on the 350. I doubt there's anything different.
That would have been an excellent idea, especially since they already produce a fairly nice wood stock for the M30C. While I really like how mine turned out, if they had offered the gun with the wood stock that SPA already used, I would have bought that instead.I was hoping Barra would come with a 'hunter' stock for the 250Z for 2026. Wood, traditional with zero degree angled pistol grip and a comb that was either adjustable,
Well, that is just a little jaded, if anybody should be really upset it's @Billm and he still wants one! lolBest to buy the 1st batch release, before the Chinese start cutting corners.
It's a shame that it'll take 8 to 9 months to figure out what the issues are on the 2nd batch.
I guess they do listen. Ugly suit, but great attempt!Just saw that SGR posted a short from SHOT on the new 350z.

Maybe he just needs to move quickly, finger hovering over the buy now button the moment it appearsWell, that is just a little jaded, if anybody should be really upset it's @Billm and he still wants one! lol
Well, first of all, I’m not taking any airgun company (or non-airgun company) at their word. Looking beyond the marketing hype, it looks like a nice step up. Like most things, actions really do speak louder than words. But, I’m pretty outspoken and I don’t usually filter my comments. I know I really should lol. But, I try to share both my good and bad experiences. I’m pretty sure that my 250z was out of the early batches, I purchased it in 2024. I personally don’t think when you purchased your 250z has any impact on your odds of getting a good or bad barrel. It shot pellets really well. I could not get it too shoot slugs as well as @Pumacarl and @Cantona256 were doing with theirs. I shot a half dozen different slugs and shot hundreds of them. I saw that @Northeastbeast (I think) had posted that he had received a choked barrel. I slugged my barrel and it was not concentric throughout the bore. Barra told me that it was one of several barrels that had been incorrectly machined. They had me ship it back for a tested replacement. Then they wouldn’t send me a replacement rifle and refunded my purchase. Their management called me at home and discussed the whole scenario at length. They asked me about my likes and dislikes and what improvements that I would like to see. After agreeing to not disclose any details, they told me their whole product philosophy with the 250z, including some of the products under development. Keep in mind this was months ago and product development takes months if not years. All, I can say is that this new rifle makes me believe that they were being truthful with me. Folding stocks, .30 caliber and other promising products were all discussed. When I told them what I really wanted in a 250z, they suggested that I wait and see before buying another one. That’s what I’m doing. Do I need another 250z, no, but it was a lot of fun to shoot and tinker with. I’m not connected to Barra at all, just a paying customer that let them know I was unhappy. I did receive a backpack and a few decals from them a few weeks later as a goodwill gesture.
You magnificent devil haha I applaud your ability to keep quiet about this for months!Well, first of all, I’m not taking any airgun company (or non-airgun company) at their word. I disagree with you… I really think it’s just because their .22 cal barrels were trash.. but the results I and others have achieved in .25cal have absolutely been shown to be repeatable for most… but for my part nothing I did with my barra was possible without your input and reporting from your own tuning experiences… so you did get it there even if your own Z was down to a little bit of luckWell said. I'd be concerned with barrel quality going forward too, having read everyones posts over the past year. Trust but verify.
I think the one point that I would like people to take away from my experience is that I didn't actually "get" my gun to shoot accurately with slugs, I just happened to finally find some slugs that shot accurately out of it. I would like to take credit and say that if you do x y and z, yours will shoot as well too. But, I know better. Some barrels, short of handmade customs, just do shoot better than others. Some have said just shoot pellets, but I have had experience with a pellet gun that could only shoot one specific pellet good, and all others lousy too...it is not just a slug thing, or a pellet to the rescue deal. That would be nice. Sometimes you get lucky right up front and other times you have to make your own luck by constant testing. Stamina looks like luck sometimes.
