1100Z Barra 1100z Gen II Poor accuracy @ 50yds

I wanted to ask other shooters about the 1100z Gen II accuracy. I am getting very nice groups at 25 yds with JSB MKII 33.95 grains pellets. But at 50yds it opens up like a shotgun. Could it be the barrel? I have been checking pellets skirts and wind. All of the mounting screw were tight. These targets were shot for group, not score. I have to say I do like this gun, nice finish, smooth side leaver, great fill pressure, and regulated. All of the things I wish my Benjamin Marauder Gen II had on it years ago.
For its price tag it is a great 25 yard gun. I have attached two photos of targets.

Looks like those pellets might be too heavy for the 1100z . The best shooting pellet for both of my .25s was the JTS 29.63 or AEA 29.50. At any rate, before you do anything else I would try some pellets in the 25gr to 29gr range.

Do you have a chronograph yet? The cheapies on Amazon work great. You just need to check your speed you don't need to check every shot. I have a new FX D1, but when I'm inside and just checking a gun I still just pinch hold one of the Amazon cheapies in front of my pellet trap. Shooting strings though will tell you where you actually drop off the reg and if your guage is reading correctly. You need to know the speed to monitor changes in the gun and to set up ballistic programs. A chrony, a laser range finder (again, any cheapie), and a ballistic app, and there is no more guessing and missing, what your gun is easily capable of hitting.

I have never seen a JSB 34gr shoot at 25y like that and then at 50y so badly, so I am wondering the speed too. Don't shoot a different pellet, you picked the best one in my book. Turn up your gun so that it shoots somewhere between 830-890fps.

The velocity/pellet weight are probably on point like everyone else suggested. If you haven't done so already, polish your barrel. It's not a miracle fix, but can be very helpful. Barrel polishing is an inexpensive solution to achieving some more accuracy and the initial investment can be used on all of your barrels. At the very least clean your barrel and buy a tube of Flitz metal polish and run a few patches with some Flitz.

Also if you haven’t already, pushing a pellet through the barrel is a good way to discover aberrations.

I get the best groups with the JTS Dead Centers .25 grainers. My max distance is just 45 ish yards, but it prints the nicest little cloverleaf groups with a lot of overlap when I do my part, and am not shaking like a dog crapping peach seeds sideways.
