Guys I wanted to get an opinion on something that Is a little confusing
I have a bone stock Crosman ( Brand New) 362 and shooting Crosman Premiere 14.3 GR HP's I can't get close to 600FPS!
My Chronograph is working properly and I saw a few vids on Youtube wear OTS Airguns and Airguns Of Alaska are getting well over 600 FPS with their (Plastic Breech) 362's using the same pellet? My Crosman 100 year anniversary model Is getting mid to high 600 FPS. I did put a Steel breech on my 362 after I tested It and there Is no Improvement In velocity....Any Thoughts?
I assume this is with 8 pumps? A bit of silicone oil to the pump cup? If that isn't the answer, may need to do teardown and verify everything is good to go. How far below 600 are you?

Yes Pops 8 pumps which is the recommended max # of pumps! The highest velocity I achieved with Crosman Premiere 14.3 grains was 585FPS but mostly getting 545-560 range I did get It slightly over 600 with RWS 11.9 grain WadCutters. I'll try oiling the pump Cup with silicone oil and let you know If that helps!

What part of the country do you live in? What’s your elevation? Pumpers and springers lose velocity and power with elevation. Roughly 3% lose in velocity per 1,000 ft of elevation gain.

I live in the northern suburbs of Denver. My elevation is close to 5,400 ft.
My 362 shoots the 14.3 CPHP around 600 fps on 8 pumps and 665 fps with 12 pumps. If I were to take my 362 up into the mountains I lose even more velocity. My parents owned a property in Gunnison and the elevation was around 9,500 ft. At 12 pumps the 362 wouldn’t even break 600 fps up there.

75% of the U.S. population lives below 1,000 ft and only 1% of the U.S. population lives above 4,000 ft. The one percenters aren’t factored in when the manufactures come up with these maximum pump numbers. I don’t pay attention to the maximum pump number personally. I test my pumpers and come up with my own.
As said before keep the pump cup oiled. Also key to consistency from your pumper is steady pace pumping. Make sure you are fully extending the pump arm and fully compressing it. Don’t go too fast and short cycle it. Going too fast just elevates your heart rate anyhow. Going too fast also wears the hinge points on the pump arm. A consistent steady pumping pace will give you more consistent results with pumpers. I think it’s even more critical with higher elevations.

I'm on the East Coast, Long Island to be exact aprox 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean so elevation would not be a factor. I'll try changing my pumping technique like you suggest and see what happens!

But what is the accuracy like? I would be happy to loose a little speed if the accuracy was outstanding...
 
FX Dynamic Compact. Tried a Vortex Venom with Warne cantilever scope mount, and the mount blocked my mag…. Tried an Athlon Helos Gen 2 in Burris 2 piece rings I had on the shelf and the bell of the objective side hit my plenum/shroud. Took those rings off and the Venom out of its mount, combined the two, and the tube blocks my mag….. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

But what is the accuracy like? I would be happy to loose a little speed if the accuracy was outstanding...
For the love of me I can't get a good sight picture with the Plastic Breech Rear Sight Set Up (That Also Goes For The 2240,1322,1377) so I have to swap out the plastic breech for a steel one, and to answer your question the Accuracy with the Crosman MIM rear sight and or a scope Is very good, I'm linking holes at 20 yards! I plan to use the 362 for close range (No More Than 20 Yards) Brown Rat Culling so I would think 10 ft lbs would be adequate?

I'd never thought about the elevation affecting pump rifles until I got my Sheridan last year. I'm only a couple of hundred feet lower than you. I was disappointed in the velocity I was getting from it until I started thinking about air Density. I already knew about the effects on springers.

Bought a couple of these. Going to see if I can mount one on the side of my impact.

Just a thought here I seriously doubt that most of the people who purchase multi pump pneumatic air rifles
have Chronographs and check their Air Rifle's velocity! I would classify them as Casual Air Gun Shooters, so they would not try to verify the Airgun Manufacture's claimed velocity figures.
Have a chrono, and have tried chrono readings. Definitely a seriously casual shooter, with a serious love for pneumatic guns. Obviously the superior platform. 😎

Good news PoP's I oiled the Pump Cup on my 362 and pumped It up a few times and let It sit over night, tried It this morning with Crosman 14.3 HP's (8 PUMPS) and was getting 615-645 FPS Looks like I'm making progress! Thank's for the advice!
 
Well, I got my Ali Express order and bottled my Marauder pistol. The issue now is that it's a 7 pound beast. That happens when you do a search for carbon fiber .22l 4500 psi bottle and fail to careful read the description of the search result. I thought I found a great deal on a lightweight Tuxing bottle. What I got was a thick walled boat anchor. 😂 I will say that that it's very accurate and stable with the extra weight. I went back and made sure got the right bottle this time. Hopefully I can lighten it up in a couple of weeks.
