Hey, Scriv . . . no fault here, I am just sharing my experience on how I've cared for the wood and metal on my guns & rifles. Orv.

I understand that. We all have different opinions, and ideas about what works. I went a bit further because I was asked to explain my opinion. It's up to the reader to determine what course of action they choose to take. I appreciate the fact that we can have a differing opinion without it causing a rift. It's almost like we're adults, or something.

I always like to wipe of fingerprints and any moisture away with a rag sprayed with a bit of ballistol. Where the metal meets the wood, it seems a bit of ballistol gets onto the wood anyway, so I end up wiping the whole gun, stock and metal. But if I end up refinishing the guns with wax, then Ill be a little more careful.

I certainly don't think that getting a bit on the wood will be a big deal. I know that I certainly have on occasion.
