250Z won't stay cocked no matter what the screws are set..

Can't seem to cock it no matter where the screws are set.. I am at my wit's end !! I spent yesterday polishing one barrel.. Not this is holding me up !!

That looks correct if it was in the uncocked position

This part does not move at all until I move it manually..

When you cock the gun, that spring pushes down the part you are moving manually. Locking it in place until you pull the trigger. Something is not right there. That spring in your last pic pushes down on the part you are moving manually. Check all of that mechanism to make sure it is all moving freely.

So I can see where it looks like you opened up the area for the safety. Did that part break in 1/2? It should move when you pull the trigger cocked or not.

If I push up the sear it holds the hammer.. I pull the trigger it works , but the part that I circled above does not reset..

Is there a possibility that your cocking arm is not compressing the spring completely?

The spring underneath your sear is not sitting around the little "nipple" on the piece you have to manually move while cocked. Its a really fiddly thing to get to go over the spot, and into its bored out spot on the sear.

I was going to say the same thing that PPP just said. That spring dose not look like it is not in the right position and angled too far back. I'm guessing it is not on the "nipple" of the forward part of the sear. The one you're manually moving.

Look at post #7 from TAPnAR and compare the spring position to yours.

That spring is a PITA to keep in the right place/position when reassembling.

Yeah, about half an hour for me and my stubby fingers and almost chucking it before remembering I have a set of ultra fine point needle nose pliers.
