What'cha doing air gun related today?

That’s completely understandable. If I was in that situation I could see taking a hard stance. If anything hurt my dog, it would be bad times for the perpetrator.
We have 2 tiny dogs. Each about 7-8 lbs, and a tomcat. The dogs stay inside except for bathroom trips, and even with them being on the 16ft retractable leashes, the yotes still wanna come close, even with us being with them. . They have no fear at all. Well, they had no fear anyway, at least the smarter ones learned some, after I took out 13 of them. Going outside for yard walks still involves both my wife and I, and a pistol or the Condor for sport.

How long have you been dealing with this situation with the coyotes? I know we have them here everywhere in Florida but thankfully I haven’t had to deal with any where I live yet 🤞.

We have had issues with them since the house was built...37 years ago. But its just in the last 4 or 5 years they have gotten so bad and brave. Same for the deer population as well, so I guess its no surprise. Where the food goes, the Coyotes will follow.

Do you feel like you have it handled or are you being overrun?

Honestly, I think we are over run. Here at home, I have thinned the yotes pretty well, at least that we can see. Now late at night they come around because of the chickens, but they not getting in the chicken house unless they grow apposable thumbs. We see them further away from the house when we driving, day or night. But let a fire truck or ambulance go by on the highway a mile away, and it sounds like we have a million of them around the house. Like I said earlier. I killed 13 of the mangy things in a year between 4 and 5 years ago when they first got so bad, and many since. Is no telling though how many I have put lead into, intentionally, just to prove a point to them, Stay Away! Lol. I havent had one close in the yard though in about 5 or 6 months . Just been trash pandas and a fox family.

Wow, that's some coyote issue for sure! Well , thankfully on my dairy permission ,they don't have to worry. Plenty of cats on the three farms that roam out far that I've seen & they still make it back! There are a group here though,I've seen a few in the daylight as well as the farmer getting cell pics & videos of them while in machinery. The farm hands have commented about the howling at night & questioned me about hunting them. The rabbit population is still high , plenty of deer & the neighbors free range chickens aren't my concern , so if I can take over 100+ Ghogs every season, I don't think the coyotes are that big a deal. Besides , it would just cost me $$$ , 'cause I'd want to at least have the hide tanned & then find a spot to hang it that won't stress out my Queen ( Oh , that hairy dusty thing😣!!).Yesterday I field sighted three guns after I moved some scopes around.

Too bad you ain’t in Utah. State pays us $100 per dog we kill.

Anyone? Because if you could find a permission that sounds like a paid hunting trip 😍.
Yes you have to take the little online quiz to sign up for the predator control program but it’s super easy, free and doesn’t require Utah residency or a hunting license.

You use an app to report and log the location then once a month there is a place in the county where you turn in the lower jaw bone. Just the lower jaw. 4-6 weeks later you get a check in the mail.
