Another good afternoon today around one of my orchard permissions. This property is big, and absolutely infested with these critters. Im showing just a small portion of how many I shot today, close to 50 total. The medicine today was the Evol shooting jts 22.07 grain at 890 fps and katran using jts 18.13s at 740 fps. If you look closely, you'll see all head shots in this pic, which is how I always shoot them no matter the range. Some are tore up from cannibalism, nasty little critters. I collected these for a pic because they were all on the dirt road about 100 yards long. 20250616_152639.webp

I've just wrung out my new .25 Katran LB HP on a half dozen Ghogs the last couple days. I've had a .22 LB Katran for a few years now, I can't say enough about these guns! You have a nice brace of weapons there & they sure are put to good use!

Very nice! I also can't say enough of the katran, it has been utterly reliable and a joy to shoot since the day I got it. Just very well thought out and stoutly built and at a great price for high end guns. I even got two "non airgunners" to like the katran so much they went and bought one. The Evol I could go on for days talking about as well, there's a reason both these guns never leave the backseat of my truck. Shooting ground hogs looks like a blast! We don't have any out where I'm at but one day maybe I'll get to smack a couple.

I'm not a poster. I have another friend that posts stuff for me on another sight or I'd show you some of my "handy work" on Ghogs. I'm at 55 now since late March. I've been the exclusive varminter on this local dairy for several years now. I hardly ever take powder guns out anymore. This year is my venture into .25 caliber, I use exclusively for Ghogs . I have used .22's since 2018 , when I bought my first PCP at UA when working in Utah. I now have two .25's & they do the job.
The Katran is the "magnum" of the two.
