Break Barrel You Thoughts on HW 80 Springers

Compared to what? And in what caliber. I've would only have one tuned and I would have to know what it was shooting before I bought it.

Compared to Diana Model 36 in .177
I'd rather have an HW80 than a 36. The reason being the 36 is too long for what you get. You can get the same power or slightly more out of a HW95 in a better package. The HW80 can do 21 plus foot pounds as I have tuned 2 that have had that much power, one being a 22cal carbine. The trigger is better in the HW80 than the 36 for sure. If I was going to buy another HW80, which I have thought about several times here lately, it would the Long Range Hunter version in 22cal, and tune it to around 18-19 foot pounds with a Maccari tune kit and a Vortek Piston seal. I've had so many 34's it would be hard for me to buy another one. It's not a bad airgun, there's just other things better IMO.

I would really like an HW80 that has had the HW98 treatment - barrel sleeve and adjustable stock. If it could have select barrels, even better. It would make a commanding long range/bench gun.

I suppose we could call it the HW88.

Yeah, I like that. HW88 has a nice ring to it....

Make mine a .22.....

I 100% agree. Great Idea. The closest one I have seen is the Hunter version on AOA with a threaded barrel. The adjustable buttock would be great to have.
