Others Springtime Challenge 2025

Rained all day today, just stopped after supper. Got out with the S510 and set it up quick (so quick I dinged the stock again ) Dialed the scope to 25Y and let the lead fly! Not as easy as I thought....I'm scoring these as beginner.... were my first & only tries. Still gotta do my .177 TX but I guess time is up.
Front rest, rear foam block and fist.... Opener was with the JTS pellets, the one way high was me dialing the scope the wrong way to get poi lower on my sighters...

You know what I sold myself short...actually scoring the JTS a '5' as well....tied with the AA 16gr. Just used a pellet to verify.

It was intermittent rain, so I didn't take any range photos. I was using a front and rear bag. I didn't have it steady for the 2nd shot. Not a bad pellet, just me.

Well after @Florida_Man killer entry I feel silly, lol! Me and the TX made a single valiant effort with the FFTs (it's new fav pellet!!) Zero complaints for a springer @25Y, scored a 2 as beginner. Off and on rain here too all day. Halfway through I spotted a rabbit under my spruce trees. They are shoot on sight for me.... 38Y to the dome. Made a serious crack on impact. DRT. Pretty crazy giving the wind I was dealing with, will post it elsewhere.

I ran out of time to shoot a second target.

This was a great challenge. It was a little humbling but very fun.

Here is my target at 30 yards. I was shooting Benjamin Match Grade 10.5g pellets fresh off the press out of my custom Challenger/Marauder field target rifle.

I think I got 2 points as a pro.

Day late, dollar short. Pinty P-Rifle with Red Corn Outdoors moderator and barrel band, topped with Pinty 4-12x50 EG 3-in-1 scope. I didn't get zero perfect before shooting, but thought I'd nailed my holdover after shot 4. Then I got no more. This is a beginner-1.

My brother and I both enjoyed shooting this, even though it was very humbling for sure, like Jon said.

I had a blast with the challenge. My two attempts at .177 never made it to the screen lol. I thought the Diana 48 was too much work. So I moved the DNT TNC224 tithe Beeman regulated under lever. But, it started shooting 6’ shotgun groups and I couldn’t be bothered messing with it. But, the challenge was a lot of fun.

This was my first attempt at making my own target, so I would like to thank @rsfrid and @pan60 for help behind the scenes and listening to my ideas for the Challenges.

I wouldn’t mind myself with my recent purchase, I would like to give it a try too.

There’s still plenty of spring left. We can have a Springtime Challenge 2.0
