I can't believe there are no pictures or anything of these rifles?!?!

I have a Standard .177 R5M that I have been shooting for a while. My son was wanting to come shoot with dad, so I put him behind the rifle and he started blasting the kill zone of the knock down target. After around 8 mags or so I had to take the rifle away from him, and that was honestly a chore. Needless to say the rifle is now his and I am down a rifle. Though that gave me the reason to buy another one! I was lucky enough to find a very nice Long R5M in .25 and have that one set up for more hunting and longer range shooting.

The .177 is set up for a back yard plinker and pest control rig and is able to get an insane number of shots. The .25 is running right now around 4 mags before a refill is needed, so still decent.

I will get some pictures taken tomorrow when I can get them outside.

These things are tanks and just keep on shooting. A bit on the heavy side, but they are solid and I have no concerns about them breaking or having issues.

Can't find any photos of the rifle itself, but below are a couple of groups from an Edgun R5 Long .25. Was the single shot version- if memory serves, Ed made several hundred of the R5 that way before the magazine & side lever were introduced. Action was rough as a cob & the trigger was mediocre, but to this day it had the best raw accuracy of any airgun I've owned.
Believe some credit goes to the Edgun branded pellets. Made by JSB of course, allegedly with a dedicated die. In any case, they were the most consistent I've ever measured in weight & head diameter. Maybe just a magic lot- bought several thousand at once, & never ordered more because I had to sell the gun. Don't think they market them any more, at least they're not on the Edgun West website.

@Woogie_man I posted pics in the thread below
How the heck did I miss that?!?!? Lol

They are magazine loaded, the mags are held under the scope rail until you want to use them.

The rifles have a bit of weight to them for sure, but shooting them off hand isn't to much of a chore. The .25 shoots like a dream and will hammer targets at 100 yards with ease. I should be going out sometime this week to get things really tuned in for competition shooting.

Prior to the release of the Leshiy 2, the R5M was a very heavily liked and discussed airgun. I never owned the M magazine version, but did have a .30 R5 for a bit. It was a heck of an airgun.

Both of them shoot excellent. They don't look it but they are very light weight. Also super quiet and very accurate. Quite powerful for their size. The smaller 177 is set to 12fpe and the 22 is set at 18.5fpe.

I've updated both of them to Huma regs and get around 30 shots per fill.

You know, I don't remember much about the Veles. Can you share some more background information about these pistols? Thanks!

@Woogie_man I may have been mistaken. Perhaps it’s only the .30 R5M long that doesn’t have a magazine.

I have seen 30s that are mag loaded. I know early on there were some that were single shot as well. At least I think there was, let me do some digging.

But I have been on an Arca mounting kick this week. Mounted a small section to the 25 cal and it works great.
