True, SnowPeak Airguns is the largest Chinese OEM airgun manufacturer. But it’s not the only one. Nova Vista Airguns is another major player and they had many new products on display at the 2025 IWA Show.
Nova Vista Airguns started-out back in about 2012. The company has grown rapidly in the range of its products since then. Since around 2016, they have focused on PCP air rifles as their core business, building-up a wide range of products with a high degree of innovative design.
In fact, many HAM readers already own a Nova Vista airgun and most are VERY happy with it!
As you can see from the heading photograph above (and previous HAM stories), Nova Vista is the manufacturing and development partner with Air Venturi for the Avenger and Avenge-X PCP air rifles. So they already have multiple HAM Gold Award-winning models under their belt!
In addition, the company is developing both its own brand name and individual brands for specific models, as we can see here…
At IWA 2025, Nova Vista announced its new “Acutac” PCP models. These comprised both tube and bottle-fed versions, positioned for 50-Yard benchrest shooting. Calibers are from .177 to.25 cal.
Above we see the bullpup versions. Configured with an innovative – and stylish – stock of mixed polymer and wood, they certainly look smart. (But with these guns positioned inside at a high level inside display cases, it was difficult to photograph them without reflections, as you can see from my photos. Sorry!).
Fill pressure for the Acutac models is 300 bar (4,350 PSI) and they are fitted with an adjustable, two-stage competition trigger.
Below we see the Nova Vista Airguns Cobra PCP carbine/pistol. Again available in the same three calibers and with the 300 bar fill pressure. My guess is that all these models are likely to be seen in the market later in 2025…
Nova Vista is also moving into the accessory business. Apart from the expected scopes and bipods, the company is manufacturing – they tell me – their own range of airgun ammunition. Both pellets and slugs…
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Nova Vista “Pneupump”. This is the PCP with built-in hand pump that has been available in the US as both American Tactical and Seneca-branded product.
So now there’s a “generation 2” version of this gun incorporating some worthwhile improvements.
Again available in .177, .22 and .25 calibers, the Gen 2 model is designed to be fitted to 250 bar (3,625 PSI) using the built-in hand pump. However, it can also can accept a 300 bar (4,350 PSI) fill if charged from a compressor or HPA tank.
Mr Zhu, Nova Vista’s senior designer, explained the latest developments to me. In fact, there’s quite a lot of internal changes, although the over-arching concept is very similar to the original.
The internal design is more – in my words – “modular”. There’s a simpler layout that makes it easier to access some high-wear parts for maintenance or replacement. These are definitely improvements that will be welcomed by users and which – I think – lead to renewed interest among shooters.
Apart from Nova Vista Airguns, there’s still plenty more news to come from IWA OutdoorClassics 2025.
