I plan on building a wicked backstop I also picked up a table and chair.

You get all that going and set up nice and I'll envy you a tad ..
Set up a nice firm shooting station makes it nice . Leaning off the hood or tree or house corner is ok but a nice comfy bench is the cat meow

$1.5US= 2k CDN,my bad. Gotta have one black gun in my opinion, Did you mention the caliber you got? Excited to hear how you get on with it! I just ordered 2 mainsprings from D&L for my Slavia, lol $3.99 each on sale....Was pretty proud of that snag. The super expensive one I got from Vortek is waaay to much spring and I did a crazy amount of homework spec'n it all out too. Glad I kept all my notes on it.

Awesome rifle if you get a good barrel. Bargain pricing, can't go wrong! And plenty of mods available if you want to go that route.

I have been reading about the upgrades, but, I am not a very mechanical guy, and physical limitations pretty much kill using anything but a screwdriver. That's a plus for the bank account I am most sure.
