I don't like plastic magazines either. I have become spoiled by the BRK/Daystate, Evol, and Western Airguns magazines. I do think additive manufactured magazines are a step up from the PLA cast mags, much better actually. Orion, Stud, and Midwest Elite are the three best manufacturers of 3d printed mags that I have seen. But as for OEM mags, the BRK/Daystate mags are the best on the market IMO. Back to the subject, the aluminum mags are expensive but they won't ever break/crack if you drop them. I've had numerous plastic magazines break and it's always a bummer when it happens. The Marauder mags at least are affordable around $12-15 if my memory serves me well, but if a company is charging $70 for plastic I would rather buy an aluminum one for a couple bucks more.
The good thing is we have a little bit of everything on the market, so we can vote with our wallets whichever way we want manufacturers to bend.
