They are around 14-15 fpe in .177, so an 8.4 should be around 875.
Which is reputed to be the sweet spot for domed .177 pellets...

And for the record - new guns get new cases with pockets to hold the specific tins of pellets which that specific rifle likes.

My HW95 shot JSB 8.4 gr pellets at 935. I replaced the factory spring and guts with a Vortek HO kit with 1 coil cut off the spring and it still shoots them at 915 fps and 10.3 at 820. Hardly a mid-power rifle.

I'm guessing it prefers the heavier pellets?
