Not sure where you stand with your decision, but wanted to give you some more anecdotal evidence regarding temp/humidity effect on the Vet II.
Had a UFT match this weekend. Weather during my final dope check earlier in the week was mid-70s, sunny, low humidity (for this area). Late Saturday afternoon after the rimfire portion of the event, took my Vet to the practice range for one last verification. It was mid-40s & damp (had sleet in the morning
), & the rifle had been outside all day- sheltered from the precipitation, but still subject to the temperature. Set up at the 65 yard line & put five shots into a roughly one inch group from bucket & sticks, centered on the bull. No changes necessary from 75-sunny-dry to 47-overcast-damp.
