Point Pleasant Field Target Club – AAFTA Grand Prix 2026

Hello everyone,
I’m excited to announce that I will be hosting my first-ever AAFTA Grand Prix this year. To the best of my knowledge, this will also be the first Grand Prix ever held in the Sacramento area.
This has been a goal of mine for many years, and I’m thrilled to finally make it happen.
Because of my schedule, these are the only two weekends I can commit to for 2026, so I’d really appreciate your help selecting the best dates to maximize attendance.
Event Logistics:
Dry camping onsite will be available Thursday through Monday for shooters who prefer to stay on property and save on lodging.
There are plenty of nearby hotels and Airbnbs for those who prefer off-site accommodations.
Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento Elk Grove – Full-service hotel with restaurant, pool, fitness center, and easy access to Highway 99.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elk Grove Central - Hwy 99 by IHG – Includes complimentary breakfast and is convenient to restaurants and shopping.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elk Grove West I-5 by IHG – Good option for guests arriving from the Bay Area via I-5.
Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Sacramento Elk Grove – Indoor pool, free breakfast, and consistently popular with visitors.
Hampton Inn & Suites Sacramento-Elk Grove Laguna I-5 – Free breakfast, pool, and a convenient location near dining.
The range is located approximately 30 minutes from Sacramento International Airport (SMF).
Course Design:
Pistol: 10 Lanes, 2 targets per and 2 shots per target.
Rifle:
18 lanes, 3 targets per lane w/ one shot per target.

Friday:
Sight in: 10am - 2:30pm
2:45pm Shooters meeting
3pm Start
Saturday:
Sight in 7:30am to 9am
9:15am Shooters meeting
9:30am start
Sunday:
Sight in 7:30am to 8:45am
8:50am Brief Shooters meeting
9am start
Courses will be set in open fields, requiring precise wind-reading abilities.
Expect challenging elevated targets in the barn at 15°+ angles with minimal lighting for an added test of skill.
