New Blind, Old Memories. I was in need of another hunting blind. My Tidewe 3–4-man see-through blind, bought in April 2024, has seen constant use—but it’s starting to tear in spots. As a mostly coyote hunter, I’ve never loved the see-through design. Coyotes are sharp—they sense movement fast. I ended up lining the lower half with cardboard to cut down the silhouette.

I lucked out and found an upgraded blind on Facebook Marketplace, still new in the box and only a mile from me. It’s the Blackout Blade 'N' Bullet Ground Blind—if you’ve never seen one, check them out. They’re heavy, but built to last.

Here’s the part that stopped me cold. The seller mentioned they were listing it for someone I knew—her husband had just passed. That man was Dave Hicks.

I was shocked. I used to stop by and pick his brain about hunting, swap stories. His were always better. Dave was a gifted marksman and a true competitor. He won the Canadian National Championships multiple times, was a proud member of the NRA Long Range Black Powder Team, and made the World Team three times—traveling as far as Africa to compete. His greatest achievement came in 2003, when he earned international recognition by winning the individual title at Bisley, England.

Hey, I just bought this for my father-in-law. It was boxed terribly and no instructions or anything. We have it figured out, but there is one piece we don't have a clue what it is or if it even belongs with this product. It almost looks like some kind of mount, you can move lever and make magnetic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I didn't have one in my box and it was sealed, never opened.
