250Z New Scope for the Barra

If you are supersonic it doesn't really matter. Your accuracy is out the window. Sure it is a lot more power but if you can't hit what you are aiming at...

I use CCI .22 High Velocity ammo rated at 1250 fps. It's very accurate and fast. My shotgun slug rounds travel at 1650-1750 fps. Transonic destabilization with pellets depend on many different factors, that said, I still prefer chrony equipment that allows me to shoot airguns or powder burners.

And that is the downfall of the FX chrono. I also use mine for firearms (prochrono DLX) once in a blue mood and it connects to my phone nicely....but sheesh if the weather/lighting ain't just right its useless....is there even a perfect chrono?🤔😂
Accurate, affordable (no Garmin im not paying $800 just to read my velocities), doesnt attach to my barrel (sorry @NateChrony ), works in any weather id be shooting in (Prochrono not-so-pro) and doesn't annoy me so much that I contemplate shooting it on purpose....OK rant over😊
Actually, yes, there is, if all that you want is speed. Those little cheap shoot throughs have always worked for me. I don't clamp them to the end of the barrel, I just pinch hold them into the v-block. Never missed a reading and they are as accurate as my regular Chrony. I wish they were in fps instead of mps, but I put up with it because they are small, cheap and reliable, which is a rare combination. I just need a number for Strelok, that's it, and they get it done.

Mine, shoot through and rod mount all have a setting for M/S or F/S. Once you figure out how to get to English from Chinese...

I have the old version of this one:

It doesn't say, and I have never heard of anybody getting the original units to switch to FPS. If you have found a series of button presses to get it done, I would love to hear about it.

Velocity measurements to change it to FPS as you turn the unit on, the screen automatically steps thru the functions during boot-up and when it shows the FPS quickly press the button for a second and it will FLASH telling you it just changed from meters per second to feet per second.

On my unit, it only shows: ON, 111, 222, 333... up to 9, then _SU; that's it. I'm not bothered by it, it works reliably.

I think I might have to order one of those.

Got a link for it?

Thanks

At $50 on sale it's a hellofa deal.
I just ordered one yesterday. The ability to connect to my phone and record shot strings is worth the extra $10-$20 to me.
