This is a composite OD‑green Mad Dog–style stock built around the Challenger’s long‑rifle geometry. The goal was to fix the known weak points of the original wood stock (cracking around the bolt housing, thin material, poor load distribution) while keeping the rifle’s accuracy and balance intact.
The concept uses an engineered internal core for rigidity, proper load transfer, and long‑term durability. It also reduces weight and gives the rifle a more modern, field‑ready profile without turning it into a bullpup.
I’ve already sent the full proposal and design to Terry Fox at AEA for consideration.Posting it here to get thoughts from other Challenger owners and anyone interested in composite stock designs.
Would a composite Challenger 2.0 be something you’d like to see AEA bring back?
