Marauder Lost my baffles and shroud nut!

Being klutzy, I lost my barrel shroud cap and the baffles out of my shroud on my Gen 2 synthetic .177 M-Rod. I tried to buy replacements directly from Crosman, who informed me that they were internal parts and that they couldn't sell them to me if I didn't have an FFL.... while I was trying to digest this turn of events, I decided to shoot the gun anyway on my home 15 yard range. Wow! The gun, without baffles and a shroud cap, was simply stacking 10.5 gr Crosman Premier Domes! Never shot better! So... since my wife says it isn't all that much louder, I am going to keep on shooting it sans cap and baffle.... unless someone on here thinks that's a bad practice, and tells m....

Jack,
There is no harm shooting that rifle without the baffles and shroud cap. It's just louder.

If you want to replace the parts, you can call Airgun Revisions or Baker Airguns or a number of other certified repair centers. I would think they could get you the parts.

I like the hat! It keeps the sun out of your eyes and keeps your ears from getting sunburned. Keep up the great shooting!

That scope wheel is huge! I would break it accidentally of course. I'm pretty clumsy. Lol

If my modification to that scope wheel fascinates you, wait until you see this one on my TX200 I'm trying to learn how to shoot! The scope is a Leapers/UTG the focusing wheel of which is ribbed and impossible to mark or write on... dumb! My solution? A cleaned peanut butter jar lid zip-tied to the dumb wheel which has a very good writing surface!

If my modification to that scope wheel fascinates you, wait until you see this one on my TX200 I'm trying to learn how to shoot! The scope is a Leapers/UTG the focusing wheel of which is ribbed and impossible to mark or write on... dumb! My solution? A cleaned peanut butter jar lid zip-tied to the dumb wheel which has a very good writing surface!

Consider not using the baffles and shroud at all. I’m working on a 177 Marauder project for Field Target use and the goal is repeatable and ultimate accuracy. I’m using a slip-on Donny FL adaptor and 3D printed moderators, that are the result of working with Old Spook for 2-1/2 years. The results are incredibly promising. If interested, send me a PM and I’ll help you get started. And the overall cost is minimal, with the Donny FL adaptor being the most expensive part.
