JB Guppy Tank Leak

I have a 2021 JB guppy tank I purchased used that lost 2,000 psi over the weekend. I’ve never dealt with air tank/valve leaks. Where should I start? The tank gauge read 1,200 psi when it arrived empty. Is the faulty gauge related to the leak? Should I do a dunk test to find the source?

Many thanks for the help.

Mine leaked too. It was the O ring under the valve. Good old Joe B can't seem to divulge what size it is, so I went to Ace Hardware and found one approximately the same. Tank is holding air now. Make sure you lube the O ring with silicone O ring lube and tighten it so there's no visible gap between the valve and the tank.

If you pass a dollar general, Walmart or Target, grab a bottle of kid's bubbles. They work great for leak detection and are usually really cheap. If you have kids, steal theirs.

You can get close to the correct o-ring size using a ruler and going to McMaster-Carr and looking at their o-ring selection.

I have kids bubbles so i'll give that a whirl. Thanks!
