250Z Help with tuning 250z, Gen2, 25 cal with RogueAir's trigger & slug power kits, the C-88 Air Plenum, and factory porting

I'm starting out shooting Franco's 32gr HP slugs. Do you have this same set-up? Can you suggest a "recipe" of reg' pressure and hammer spring adjustment for an accurate tune? What sequence of steps do you use to fine tune it?

A progress report on slug tuning done yesterday evening.:
I filled the air tube to 3650, just touching red. I backed the hammer spring tension screw out quite a bit and started shooting slugs two at a time between hammer spring adjustments with approximately 2050 Reg pressure in the plenum.

1. Remove the brass weight from the slug kit and keep that spring.
2. Backed out the hammer lug till it hits the stock and then turn it in a half turn.
3. Set the reg to 2000psi and check 3~5 shot groups at your distance. Something like 30yrs is a good place to start.
4. Increase the reg till your getting 1/2" groups and push the distance out to where you want to zero.
5. Now slowly tweak the reg till you get back to under 1" groups.
6. This is where you start turning in the hammer lug to fine tune. It won't take much, under 2 full turns in and you should be really close.

I'm shooting JSB KO mkii at 2500psi, 940fps and can make golf balls fly at any distance inside 65yrs if I do my part.

Remember, there are no set parameters that are universal from gun to gun or substitute for doing the tune.

Bladefin is a guru, and we have different tuning methods. I would suggest not trying to mix and match. Blade fin has his method down to a science give or take variables. I have mine to variables. Same result, hopefully, different processes.

I'm less than a year and a half into pcp's with this platform as the only I've messed with. Bad initial barrels had me ready to quit. The current barrels, cleaned and polished got me where I am now and there's no real distance to even that, inside 70yrds is all I shoot. There are many people here more than double that, consistently.

We'd all love a short cut to tack pushing brilliance. But that's just not possible. Powder burners are a breeze compared to learning pcp's. There's just no substitute for running through the reg and adjusting the hammer scrapping everything and starting over. Lather rinse repeat. Now change the projectile and start over again. Once you get a feel for what the gun likes you can take some short cuts to find the magic sauce.

But a magic bullet or tune? Forget about it. I have two 250Z's a gen 1 & 2. The hammer tensioner is the main difference but they shoot different. I bet if I swapped barrels between them the tune that works now won't with the different barrel.

Yep. Told him the same thing bro. You are a guru my man. Im 8 months in on my origional v2. Both my z's are v2. You have knowledge sir, that I dont.

Its why I always listen to those that have, and put in my own tinkering. I got a great base for the v2 that can't apply for the v1. You dont use the weight, but use the spring,I use the spring, and weight on how I adjust my v2,im simply stating do not mix, and match separate people's tunings, and get frustrated about what the Frankenstein creates. Thats all.
