Information overload. Not just with the Blackwolf but so many new airguns are coming out, I find myself trying to keep up. I'm also trying to figure out what purpose any of them would have that my current guns don't do already.
Thank you for explaining the other factors behind it all. I was just trying to make sense of it and didn't know what else went into pricing. I appreciate your response.
I'm a little confused with the pricing for the different barrel lengths and configurations. Can someone check my math because the math ain't mathing.
For the walnut tube version, the prices off AOA's website are the following:
- 17 inch version is $2,899.99
- 23 inch version is $2,999.99
- 28...
Just my thoughts but I know Tom will make money either way by offering his barrels (Sub MOA) to other competitors. I would think that he would have introduced his barrels first to the AAA lineup and have them available out the door.
The thought already came into my mind for a 300mm/12" barrel and shorter air cylinder as a separate option. Not for anyone else but for me lol. If it could get at least 30 FPE max and a minimum of 30 shots using the tube cylinder with the ability to tune down to 12 FPE, that would be awesome.
I dig the looks of this version with the walnut stock. Good review but there's still a question I have. What's the weight of this gun without the scope? I looked on the Edgun West site and one of the specs listed says "Light Weight - perfect for all-day excursions". That doesn't tell me much...
I remember him listing it on AGN. If I didn't already have a Paradigm at the time, I would have jumped on it because he listed it at low price with the gray laminate stock. I even messaged him on the side asking him if the price he listed was a mistake lol.
Let's not request for a change. Otherwise, we'll never see these guns for a while lol.
I'm still on the fence about upgrading my current Evols. Maybe the easy cocking system. The external reg adjuster would be nice but not a definite must-have for me. I'm still waiting for a 15" with the new...
Yes. The hammer spring. You'll lose velocity if you cut and shorten the hammer spring or change it out for a lighter one. That's the downside if you want to keep the power the same.
Unless you lighten the hammer spring, I don't think there's any way around it. The old bolt action doesn't have the mechanical advantage and leverage like the side lever on the Revere or other side lever platforms.
I believe he's referring to the Huntsman Classic. The Classic and Regal have the old bolt action cocking lever which you have to give a firm tug towards the rear of the cocking cycle to overcome the hammer spring to chamber a pellet. Those were one of the complaints of the old Huntsman series...
