Myth: Buying a tuned slugger (dealer advertised).
You can roughly tune a gun near were it ought to be and maybe it will get it in the ballpark, but if you think dealers are spending a couple weeks and a few boxes to tune your individual rifle, along with all the other slug tuned rifles they...
Hmmm. I guess to me I look at those items, PRS rail for example, as an accessory, and I look at modifications as something done to the rifle, I.e. porting on valve or changing a spring tension etc. Maybe I have an idea on my next video
At IPAC with slugs at 150yd, the cards were wildly bad. Half the people shot watermelon sized groups, and minutes before those same shooters talked about 300yd shots and all that jazz. One of the benefits of sitting back and spectating is seeing such scenes unfold. 10% did well, but it made me...
True. The consumer market though is led to believe that in real world conditions (light to medium wind) you can and should expect ridiculous accuracy. I can't tell you how many times I've posted honest groups and people have commented that they can one hole with an avenger at 100. I always ask...
Myth number two (and this one I really dislike):
Airguns make good self defense weapons.
They don't.
Anytime I see a self defense airgun video, I dislike.
Funny anecdote, I was working and uploaded a short of a winning card at EBR 100yd (won the entire event with that same card) and it was filmed with a triggercam I think. Someone commented that the shooter (who won the event) was a poor shot. It goes to show you how the consumer market has been...
How about one hole groups at 100yd. Sure, maybe 1/20 on a nice day, but when you only see one holes it's fake. Aggregate scores at major US events or the Worlds show that this much is true.
Am I the only one thinking about getting a larger diameter shroud on the Ghost Zero and making it the quietest HP airgun on the market? The new Cylinder makes it easy...
