Like you, I have found my AR2078A peep sight to be a good one for use on other airguns too. Hadn’t given it the proper due until you mention it. Made of lightweight plastic or resin it is light enough to withstand the forward kick from a springer so it doesn’t slide off a dovetail and holds zero...
I don’t have the HW97K but you are comparing rifles that are quite different. The energy in .22 using a 14.66 grain pellet is 50% greater in this rifle vs the HW50S. Accuracy may be similar at 25 yards but 50 yards in wind may be too far for this pellet traveling 150 fps slower. But the HW50S is...
Depends on how much Centerfire’s friend plans to shoot PCPs. The CS2 version keeps my 3 PCPs happy w/o any add on moisture filters and costs less than $300. Mine is insured for 3 years which covers me for 6 more months. I do have many other airguns I actively shoot. This GX is quiet enough to...

I have the one Wolfman (below) suggested and it is going strong 2 1/2 years now. Only good for direct fills to airfuns. I am careful to use it enough to keep seals in good condition. I have not changed any filters but do what I can to prevent water from rusting the internals.

Looked at a past P/A blog under 10 meter Airguns. Mentor commented tests using moly on pellets and in bores did nothing to change performance. Concluded lead pellets are self lubricating.

What’s not to like about this $200 star performer?
I’m about convinced to buy the air converter after shooting out all the Pellgun from the internals.
Stephan, thanks for your obvious interest in exploring the options. I think you were the first to discover CO2 would work in spite of regulator...
“As has been suggested, I would recommend running a few cartridges through the gun without any lubrication.”
Is it better for seals to avoid any lube for awhile vs using correct silicone on the next fresh cartridge? The latter would mix Pellgun with silicone until all was blown out the barrel...

Yeah, I should have started out with the suitable non combustible lube. I’m so used to readily available Pellgun oil for my CO2 guns and nitrogen being enert I figured why not. I never thought I would want to convert them to air. I doubt I ever will but wanted to alert others of the...

That should clear out the oil. But as my handle suggests I have lots of airguns wanting seal exercising. Takes me about a month to get around. I shoot 10 shot groups, sometimes 2 groups, with each gun. At this rate I will have lots of time before deciding to to buy the air PCP...
I have two Komplete rifles, .177 and .22 caliber. I have been using Pellgun oil to lube cartridge tips in both CO2 and Nitrogen, which is an inert gas. This refillable conversion cartridge of course uses air which could detonate the residual Pellgun oil. I’m concerned about using air having...
