I love to hunt with airguns! Because of this addiction, I am constantly testing theories, ideas, etc. to find out what is ethical or not (in my opinion of course). I have had a lot of success (over 100 rock chucks) using .177 sub 20FPE air rifles out to 70-75yds, hitting them with slugs and...

Many great opinions have already been shared, I'll just throw my two cents in: Assuming we are talking about tree squirrels, my preferred caliber (because both will get the job done with proper shot placement) is .22 for the following reasons: - pellets are easier to grab and load - higher FPE...

Great land management practice!

Man, great share! Well documented on the other forum, thanks for sharing. I love that stuff

How fun! Tell me about your armadillo shot, what caliber? Distance? Shot placement? If vitals, how far did it run before he expired? What about the beaver? Head shot?

Hey yal, I know there was a post already about the 2026 EFT GP calendar but I thought I'd regurgitate the information, given the first GP match is around the corner. Check out the EFT website for more information, and please spread the word: 25-26 GRAND PRIX As a side note and to help clarify...

I do not have personal experience with those matches but have a few friends that are involved with it. All my buddies say they are great matches with great people attending. Ultra Match seems to help host those matches. I don't use Facebook but I was told they post more information on their...

Thanks! I have that .30 cal Blk Wolf shooting AEA 45grs and producing 95FPE

AOA has .177 and .25 cal back in stock. Atlas Airguns is another great place to purchase air rifles & accessories from. Other airguns to consider are the Weihrauch HW100 or HW110. Mine is a HW110 in .177, gives me 40 shots per fill at 19FPE. Those two groups are 10 shot groups at 20yds, with...

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing yal. Danman, I like the competition you have going with your brother, as competitions keep things exciting! I wish we can create something of a sort within the airgun community, I think that would be fun, just not sure how dedicated hunters would be or how...

Do any of you keep track of the animal species you have taken with an airgun or am I the only crazy one? If you do keep track, please share your hit list. I'm curious what other hunters have taken. I have two lists going, an in-state list and an out-of-state list. I can't be the only crazy...

Thanks! I am now one of the host for the Airgun Only Adventures YT channel, so my personal channel has taken a back seat. Sadly, that day was my first time out hunting with the Zulus and I fumbled trying to push the right button to record. I guess I was taking pictures instead of recording so...

Here is another video with results:

If you are going to take big game hunting with airguns serious, consider a HP .45 caliber as they hit with authority. I like the Western Rattler .45 Std. Check out how far that 360 solid slug traveled through the deer at 50 yds: slug recovery

If you are still wondering, check out my reply to Ezana4CE's "Who is Deer Hunting with an Airgun This Season?" thread. From my experience and testing, a .30 caliber 80FPE+ will get the job done out to 50-60 yds with a perfect headshot only (with higher FPE, I'm sure a well placed vitals shot...

How fun! The Ghost carbine is my favorite version of the Ghost. I have taken many critters with it, the biggest being rock chucks aka yellow-bellied marmots. Mine is a .177 (sub-20FPE) with a couple of additions: - Form grip and cheek rest (AMAZING addition) - BRK short moderator - Trigger work...

Yes, I have harvested a few deer with airguns. I have also taken friends and my oldest son out as well. We have used: - .30 caliber - .35 caliber - .45 caliber - arrow with a fixed blade broadhead Distances have ranged from 20-99yds. I have been most confident with the Western Rattler .45...

Oh my heavens! I added a lot more information to my initial post but somehow it was not saved and did not send… well, that’s not fun. Let me try again: Benefits from hunting off a feeder are: Learning to differentiate hog and deer tracks Clearer shooting lanes for a more ethical shot Safer to...

I second what was said by Grunt64. For a new hunter (or even for a veteran) hunting off a blind/feeder is safer and can be very effective. Spot and stalk can bare fruit as well but requires a lot more 'know how'. An exemplar spot and stalk hunter is Dana from Mountain Sport Airguns, which I see...

Kind of late to the party here but I've harvested three turkey now and have gone out with others to hunt them with airguns as well. I use my AAA Evol .30, and hunting turkey with airguns can be very tricky. For a head shot, timing is everything. That golf ball size head moves A LOT, best is to...
