Considering it for portability to take to the range.
Setting up at the range is a pain. And then I get lots of errors if the weather and sunshine are not perfect. But I could use that money for more important things as I am on a tight budget.
Considering changing my 2240 to .177 with a 10" barrel.
Two reasons: My .177 pumper is so much more accurate and much higher volocity.
However it is getting hard to use a pumper anymore as I have damaged wrists.
The 2240 is very loud, I'm thinking .177 would be a bit quieter. The 2240 eats...

Thank you for doing that comparison test.
My Caldwell works great indoors with the lighting kit. I just finished running numbers on 5 of my Pellet guns. Yes, the initial setup is a pain and use is not as friendly as the radar units.
I just can't decide whether or not to by a unit...

Have you tried the app.
I have been reading a lot of reviews and almost all are negative, as in does not work at all.
One review said you have to pay a $72.00 yearly fee for the app.
Yesturday I ran my Zelos and a Pinty over a friend's Garmin. Just now ran them over my fairly new Caldwell Chronograph.
The Garmin showed consistently 15 fps slower.
I am inclined to believe my Caldwell as that same Garmin about a month ago showed the same fps I got today from my Caldwell.
So I got the trigger to a nice #3 and hit the range this morning. Made a noticeable difference.
Only shot at 25yds today.
935 FPS, that is either 7 or 8 shots, I lost count.
Tha splatter is from staple that used to be there.
;)
Did a trigger job on one of my Pinty Tacticals.
Was #8 with crunchy creep.
Now it is a crisp #3 with no creep.
Can't wait to see if my groups get any better.
Not sure on shot count yet.
My tube got 32-34 shots on reg at 2000 psi.
I only fired about 32 shots.
Started at 240 bar and ran down to 200 bar.
I'll try to fire enough shots next time out to run it down off the reg.
Hit the range this morning to try out the new 500cc bottle that Mrs. Santa and my daughter gave me for Christmas.
It's nice to have a short range session, not having to worry if I'm about to fall of the reg.
Also figuring out which hash mark from 25 to 50yd drop.
Also, I keep wondering how much...
Yep, a shim or spacer.
But don't know if there are some the correct dimensions in different thickness.
Or just go to McMaster Carr and try to find some.
