I vote you spend the money and get an Alkin. In the long run you will save money. I went thru the cheap compressor and booster route. Could have saved a lot of money and grief if I got the Alkin first. And you can always fill tanks for other shooters or divers to pay the compressor off faster.

Go on EBay and buy the orange desiccant beads. They will turn orange when they have to be changed and you can reconstitute them in the microwave.

Run mine in my shop which is air conditioned and heated. Before I had an Alkin I hand pumped and used an additional desiccant cylinder in the line.
