I’m going to John. It was great finally meeting you. When I got back to the table with the G3, I scanned the tent looking for you, but unfortunately I didn’t see you. I was going to ask you if you would autograph it. I thought that would’ve been the icing on the cake. We jumped in the truck and headed back to Florida. Know one knows how delighted I was to win the G3. Americana at its best.

I feel like a kid on Christmas Day. I’m on a high still, not just from winning the rifle, but the whole experience. It was a lot of fun. Elaine and I are already making plans for next year. If you’ve thought about going to the cup or any other Airgun event, just do it. You won’t regret it. The best part about it was the people. Thank you all for letting me share my adventure with you.

I would probably have the same reaction if my rifle went haywire, yet it sounds like you can't beat the experience out there. It's on my list for next year. This is a great thread to read, one of my favorites.

Ed and I came looking for you at the end of the banquet. He wanted to meet you before you left. I was actually sitting with the NY field target contingent and Stephen Archer. As I was thinking "that looks like Bill", Stephen goes "That's Bill M". Did you see Ed when Val had him stand up? I was sitting at his table. Shawn one of the people that built your rifle was also with us.

I think it is great that you won it. Get yourself some 18ish grain pellets, bump up the reg a tiny bit and have fun shooting it!

You must have had a different shirt on lol. I looked for Ed and missed him. We decided to start the 800-900 mile drive home and left at 9:30.

After a long drive we finally made it home to Florida around 6pm. I decompressed for a while. Then as I ogled the Marauder, the dread set in. I remembered that I couldn’t shoot. My GSX compressor had died a few hours before I left. Well tired or not, at 10pm I set to work on the GSX-CS4. With some acetone, a micro torch, a 14mm and 19mm socket and about 30 minutes of effort, I had it pumping again. I will find out if it can keep pumping today. This may be the high point of my PAC journey. The only negative interaction I had at the Cup was when I asked a self-proclaimed GSX expert one simple question about the CS4. His response: “You know I sell them, right!” . I then received a 5-10 minute lecture on how people expect him to provide the information that he had researched for “FREE” and then told me he couldn’t answer my question. He also told me that he doesn’t work on the CS4 only the CS3. He then asked me no less than a dozen times to ensure that I subscribed to his channel. I told him that I was already subscribed to his channel and that if he sold parts that I would buy my parts from him. I thanked him anyway and stepped away. Elaine, asked me why he was being so rude. We agreed that it was an anomaly- everyone was super friendly at the Cup. I did look up his channel last night and unsubscribed, even though he had several “CS4” videos
I had to think hard about posting that. My gut reaction, was let it go. My pretty keeper, said let it go. But, I couldn’t LOL and now I feel better.

Yes, I did use a Micro Torch to help fix the pump. There was hardened silicone grease in the check valve. I tried alcohol and acetone to remove it and it didn’t work. I added a drop of water to it and heated the brass valve up and boiled it away and it worked.

Micheal doesn't own AGN anymore, he sold out and now works for whoever bought it, running the website. The headquarters are in Concord, CA. Didn't someone else in the airgun industry just move to CA, what a coincidence. It's such a small world afterall.

Yeah, but Concord is in the North San Francisco Bay Area, kind of in between the wine country and the Silicon Valley. That “New” company is 400 miles south in the LA area.
