Following our walk down the benchrest line, now let’s do the same with the 2026 Pyramyd Cup Field Target competition…
As always, the majority of the Field Target course is in dense woodland. Given the overcast conditions today, that made ranging the targets very challenging. In some cases, the low light made it next to impossible to even see the targets.
It was challenging for the photographer, too!
Below, a Vulcan was an usual Field Target choice, but this lady was doing well with it.
Below. That’s a beautiful laminated stock there…
The Thomas is a popular choice among Field Target shooters. That’s Paul Porch behind the scope.
There’s a lot of shooters in a small space.
But there’s a few lanes in the open, too.

Below. There’s that guy Solpietro again. Now he’s shooting a .177 caliber Gen 3 Marauder with a stylish laminated wood stock and a carbon fiber bottle. There’s a lot of people who wanted to buy one like that…
