.177 Dome or Wadcutter design?

Last edited:
As many have said wadcutters rule at 10 meters. I use them exclusively in my match pistols. They are very high quality, and the price is commensurate. For a 760 I would buy whatever field pellet shot best in it.

Thought i just unlocked a cheat code with my TX200 today.
26yards with a light off & on breeze.
Finally got to shooting these Jsb wadcutters that i bought a few months ago and the first shot was way high....hmmm.
Next 5 shots? wow! 🤯 had to take a quick pic, lol.
Sat back down annnnd it all went to 💩 big time... No fps reading but id guess we'll over 800fps.
I will bring it in to 20Y next time and see if that eliminates the fliers, they definitely do make nice round holes in the paper vs domes.

I can hang a ten meter target literally "in the air" and they will cut a nice hole on their way through.

I'm using QYS Olympic (they are a wadcutter) at 25 yards indoor and they shoot OK out to that.
Nice clean hole punched in the target card. No tipping or sideways travel from the pellet.
Rifle is a 9015HP if that makes any difference to the speed of the pellet.

What velocity are you shooting them at? I have a 9015 but not hp

780-785fps as that seems to be all my new brass reg will produce.
It's fine at that. Just shot a double card this week. 100.3 and 100.4 so I guess it's all working OK.
No fliers, no sign of any pellets tipping sideways.
