PCP Macavity Ma3

As per Pyramid Air, Brand Macavity Arms
Caliber .25 (6.35mm) Max Velocity is about 890 fps, with a 25.39 grain pellet that would give 44FPE. I could be wrong, but I believe that is just the factory out of the box tune. Tweaking the regulator and or the hammer spring might give about 80+FPE using 33.95 to 43.2 grain pellets. I say that because the 30 says Max Velocity is 880FPS, with a 44.75 grain pellet that would be 76 FPE and I believe they are only using different barrels and pellet probes and there is always room to adjust up or down some when there is a hammer spring adjuster. I was tempted to get one of the 30s for a long time. There are some people on here that have them. This is a screen shot from Macavity Arms.

I believe your assumption to be highly probable. I have the original MA2 short barrel .22 and had no problem accidentally getting 37fpe out of it, which is 50j. Which brings me to my question of why mix measurements? When listing performance: fps, psi, fpe; or mps, bar, Joules. Don't mix them Macavity. jmo

Edit:had to change my numbers, looked at wrong gun first time.

For the most part they don’t even list power numbers which is ridiculous. The one thing most airgunners want to know. Petty but kind of a turn off to the brand. Only real thing I can find is like 98 ft lbs in 30 I believe. Thanks for the info guys.

Only thing I see is max energy 95 ft/lbs which I assume is 30 cal. It’s ok as I just cant get past it looking like a jts Airacuda max with adj reg and 700+ dollar price tag. I’ve decided against it.
