Ya shure den! Hi there, new geezer (67) looking to get back into air rifles. Looking to be able to punch paper or plink in the back yard, also the tree rats have earned my wrath.
Have a few break barrels ( springers and nitro pistons) but this old body is starting to contest the effort of a break barrel. Time to go down the rabbit hole of PCP’s.
Been getting the HAM emails for awhile now, I figured it was time to stop lurking. Thanks for your time…try and have a good day!!

Whereabouts in our land of 10,000 fraudsters? In Buffalo myself.

Ja sur yu bet yr velcommin here. ( I'm a desert rat from So. Calif., so don't shoot me for trying, please). The HW50S and the HW30 are pretty easy to shoot, even for this very ancient 78 yr old. I bet that you'll figure those out and be begging to shoot met Hw50s, my AA TX200 and my sweet HW97K. I can cock it all day on a moments notice. Now if you do happen to be needed a challenge, there's always the Gamos out sitting awayaoy bacck th

Ya, you betcha. I’m just over the river in Wisconsin. If you have 1000 Ham points, you get 10 percent off at AOA. Check out their pre-owned page. Some good stuff there. If you don’t mind a little older technology (like us), there’s a nice Daystate Wolf for cheap.

With a handle like shellback I'm figuring Navy? So how are those 2 seasons treating you. You know, snow and mosquitoes? Welcome 🤗!

Welcome aboard and don't give up on the wonderful world of sproingers. Going down the rabbit hole is one way to burn up your kids inheritance :ROFLMAO:
What are you shooting and at what range and optics?
Well, my main rifles are as above, always in .22 cal. and generally at 25 and 50 yards. Hawke scopes are my chosen optic, Airmax, FFP, and something in the 4-16 x50 range work for me. Orv.

A fellow Shellback here. 1967, USN on the way from 'Nam to Australia for some R&R and Back to 'Nam. Orv.

Welcome to HAM. I think that the HW30S is a great way to get the muscles tuned back up in short order. Then you can work up to the heavier guns.
Me too, Scriv

Welcome hope you found what you are looking for.
We close to the same age.
I've had the 50 and 30s
I parted with the 50 only because of the cocking effort on my shoulders. It's a fine rifle if you can do it. And it power is magnificent.
But the 30 reaches out really far and smacks bells decent at 40 yards. Sound good anyway.
