Just a quick update on the EVOL HPS BR performance numbers. BR is a variant specifically designed for Bench Rest with an Arca Rail Chassis and a heavy profile barrel. BR will share all the HPS platform features and be fully compatible with any EVOL barrel, Bolt, Chamber, etc
.
There is a lot of exciting news that will be coming out soon that some of you may already be aware. American Air Arms has left CA and is now in AZ and there is a lot of barrel news too! I'll get into more details later in a new post; amazing things are coming.
Yes, Claudio Flores shooting...
I'm a little late here but I'll post the answer to PM I received.
Glad you got it fixed. FYI The valve o-rings pretty much last forever, the most common is the poppet catching on the front of the transition between the valve bore and plenum, this where the bumping comes in. Next is debris...
This is the way ^^^^^^ Muzzle up and tap butt on a firm surface. The valve will drop into its seat and require very little air pressure to fully seat.
As other have said; cocking not necessary or recommended.
I'll start with saying that you will have reliability issues at -20f; airgun or firearm. I believe Woogie said several Voodoos went down at this competition as well.
Viton, used for the reservoir seals, is rated at -13f but that is for a static seal. Airgun reservoirs easily run at delta of...
All EVOLs can barrel and caliber swap, they are fully compatible with the new HPS barrel and chamber insert design.
\
Older EVOLS can not accommodate the new HPS valve but this will not prevent them from using the new barrels we are releasing this year; including 25 caliber.
I'm not sure without looking at it but sealing a burst disk should not be that challenging. If you can see any copper at the bottom sealing surface I'd try to remove with the Scotchbrite. If that doesn't take if off the then use the Dremel and polishing compound like the JB brite.
I once...
If it's still leaking there must be copper from previous burst disks smeared and stuck to the bottom of the bore where the seal is made. Try a fine Scotchbrite pad or a felt Dremel wheel with some fine compound like JB Brite.
I will be in AZ next week. I'll grab the bad one, repair and send to you as a spare. It's pretty rare to have the ball detent pop out like that obviously it wasn't staked sufficiently.
PM me your address details.
Hey Guys,
We'll have the 42s available soon. For now, they are going in the HPS production. As as stated in another thread, the 42 cc plenum is intended for the new HPS in 223, 257 and 30 cal. The HPS has a completely different valve and porting design that can utilize a very large plenum...
Maybe 2024 will be the year of the compressor for most airgunners. Good riddance for the Youg Heng. I know many love them, but wow, they fill your PCPs full of volatile oil.
Before the Young Heng it was the Shoebox. Another loved product that filled guns full off silicone oil. Not such a...
Woogie, thanks for the feedback. There are some details to the operation that I failed to tell you. With the new balance valve, tuning is very different than a conventional valve or a Cothran style valve. At some point I'll do a white paper on the operation of different types of balance valve...
