I like the concept and came close to buying the Aspen but was ultimately turned off by negative reports concerning the built in pump. In theory one can find the sweet spot pressure for a chosen pellet and keep it there as if it were tethered. But I will hold off buying the Ascent until I am sure...
Reckon I’ve shot too many shotguns, 30.06’s and 7.92’s. While I don’t have any big bore airguns I do have Dianas, Weihrauchs and a Hatsun 95 plus others. I have never noticed any rearward recoil, only forward jolt when springer pistons come to a stop. My pneumatics and CO2’s do nothing that I...
Not new to Hard Air reports but being unsure what to expect I wanted to tip toe in when I joined. Though I’ve been around guns my whole life, my foray into airguns only got serious several years ago years ago and hardly consider myself a mentor.

Roamin, many thanks for this solution if I can get one of mine drilled and tapped. Somehow I missed your report back then. You obviously were all too aware of the walking off problem. Even Gunfun1, life long machinist, was thankful for your tip.

Thanks jps2486. It looks to be a mirror image of the Daisy Avanti peep that come with the Avanti 753S. I have two but they walk off the receiver. How did you overcome that. I was not able to come up with a stop pin solution.

I have several types of aperture (peep) rear sights but only Williams makes one that doesn’t run out of downward elevation adjustment. But it is too far forward for 2-3 inch eye relief. The Avanti peep fits okay but is so heavy it walks off the receiver. Air Force Edge has an adjustable front...
Reminder for those who shoot springers. When a break barrel, under lever or side lever reaches the cocked position for loading it is mandatory to continue holding it the entire time until after you have closed it. This warning is not just for someone new to springers. How many times have you...
I have had the HW30S and HW50S for most of my airgun shooting life. They are two of Weihrauch’s finest.
Here’s to keeping Weihrauch family owned for another 126 years!
In spite of my handle it is impossible to own too many Weihrauchs.

I have never before seen this kind of response from an airgun manufacturer to the airgun public. It is both informative and customer service oriented. I will follow this thread and see who wins at Barra: Accounting vs customer service.

Welcome to the well run and interesting Ham blog. I too am recently joined but have read it from time to time for years. I share your longetivity, hunted with firearms for 50 years. Now I have all but abandoned firearm reloading and shooting thanks to spending hours daily trying to squeak the...
Piston driven (springers) air guns produce extremely high temperatures. It only lasts for a fraction of a second but what is the flashpoint of Ballistol? I love Ballistol for firearm internals and for cleaning exteriors on all guns. I keep it in both spray and non spray cans. But I don’t use it...
Do any of you lucky enough to have a Diana 34 prior to the EMS find its accuracy improving with age? I got mine 10+ years ago and believe it is still breaking in! It could just be me that is getting better but I think not. I shoot it balanced on a small round bag the same way now as I did years...
My light weight version came with my AR2078A which currently has a scope. Rifle is still in good shooting condition. I keep it under CO2 pressure which is okay with the 2 cartridge design. Have you tried automatic transmission fluid to resurrect the seals?
